QA Engineer (Independent Contractor – Remote, Long-Term- IST Hours)

Engagement Type: Independent Contractor (No Agencies) Schedule: Monday to Friday, approximately 8 hours per day Compensation: $4–$5 per hour (Please apply only if this rate aligns with your local market) We are seeking an experienced Manual QA Engineer to join our team as an independent contractor working remotely on several ongoing projects. This is a long-term engagement for a reliable and detail-oriented QA professional who can work independently and maintain high testing standards with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities -- Perform manual testing across web and/or mobile applications. --Design, execute, and maintain test cases and test scenarios. --Identify, document, and track software defects and usability issues. --Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing. --Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure quality releases. --Participate in daily meetings and QA discussions. --Assist with release verification and deployment validation when required. Required Qualifications --Proven experience as a Manual QA Engineer or Software Tester. --Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes. --Experience with test case creation, bug tracking, and test documentation. --Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks without constant supervision. --Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. --Reliable internet connection and ability to communicate clearly with a distributed team. Working Hours & Availability --Contractors are expected to work Monday through Friday, approximately 8 hours per day. --Candidates should be able to work with significant overlap with IST hours. The schedule is flexible and may vary depending on operational requirements, including occasional early-morning deployment rotations and evening collaboration with the team.
