Engineer for Florida ADU Garage Conversion Plans (Structural, MEP & Elevations)

We are looking for an experienced engineer who is familiar with Florida residential building codes and the permitting process to prepare permit-ready engineering plans for a garage conversion into a mother-in-law suite (ADU/In-Law Suite). This project requires plans that can be submitted to a Florida building department, so experience with Florida code compliance is essential. Scope of Work: Structural engineering plans for the removal of an existing wall (determine if load-bearing and provide all required structural details). Electrical plans for the converted space. Plumbing plans for the new bathroom and kitchenette (if required). Complete elevations for all affected building façades. Elevation Drawings Must Include: Cardinal direction (North, South, East, West) Overall dimensions Exterior materials Roof pitch Overall building height (measured per Florida code) Window and door types New window and French door locations Any other information required for permit approval Project Details: Existing attached garage will be converted into a mother-in-law suite. New windows and French doors will be added. One existing wall will be removed, requiring structural engineering. Plans must comply with current Florida residential building codes and be suitable for permit submission. Requirements: Experience preparing residential permit plans in Florida. Strong knowledge of the Florida Building Code and residential permitting requirements. Ability to provide signed and sealed engineering drawings if required by the local jurisdiction (please specify whether you can provide this).
