Sr. QA Engineer

Senior QA Engineer – Performance, Load & Integration Testing LiveLike is looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer with strong expertise in performance testing, load testing, integration testing, API testing, and automation, especially using tools like K6. This role is ideal for someone who can go beyond functional testing and ensure that our products, APIs, integrations, dashboards, live experiences, games, and engagement platforms are scalable, stable, and ready for high-traffic events. The person should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, testing client-facing experiences, identifying performance bottlenecks, validating integrations, and working closely with Engineering, Product, QA, DevOps, and Project teams. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING · Own performance, load, stress, scalability, and reliability testing across LiveLike products and client experiences. · Design and execute performance test plans using tools like K6, JMeter, Postman, or similar tools. · Create and maintain load testing scripts for APIs, frontend flows, game experiences, leaderboards, dashboards, and real-time engagement features. · Perform integration testing for APIs, third-party systems, authentication flows, data pipelines, event tracking, Segment actions, dashboards, and client integrations. · Validate system behavior under expected and peak user loads, especially for live events and high-traffic client launches. · Identify bottlenecks related to APIs, database performance, frontend response time, network calls, caching, and infrastructure limits. · Collaborate with Engineering and DevOps teams to define performance benchmarks, test environments, monitoring needs, and release readiness criteria. · Work closely with developers to reproduce, debug, and resolve performance and integration issues. · Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger, K6, or similar platforms. · Validate data consistency across systems, dashboards, analytics events, leaderboards, and reporting flows. · Support QA sign-off for production releases by ensuring functional, regression, integration, and performance readiness. · Build reusable testing frameworks, scripts, checklists, and reporting templates. · Monitor test results, prepare detailed reports, and clearly communicate risks, blockers, and recommendations. · Participate in sprint planning, requirement reviews, PRD discussions, and release planning to identify test coverage early. · Support live event testing and go-live validations when required. OUR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS · 5+ years of QA experience with strong exposure to performance, load, integration, and API testing. · Hands-on experience with K6 is highly preferred. · Strong understanding of performance testing concepts such as TPS, response time, throughput, latency, concurrency, error rate, stress testing, spike testing, and endurance testing. · Experience in writing and maintaining K6 scripts for API and user-flow-based performance testing. · Strong API testing experience using tools like Postman, Swagger, Insomnia, K6, or similar. · Good understanding of REST APIs, authentication, access tokens, webhooks, event-based systems, and third-party integrations. · Experience testing scalable web applications, dashboards, gaming platforms, SaaS products, or real-time engagement products. · Ability to analyze performance results and identify possible root causes. · Understanding of browser dev tools, network calls, logs, monitoring tools, and basic debugging workflows. · Experience working with QA, Engineering, Product, DevOps, and client-facing teams. · Strong knowledge of test planning, test case writing, regression testing, bug reporting, and release sign-off processes. · Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, GitHub/GitLab, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar. · Strong communication skills and ability to clearly explain issues, risks, and recommendations. · Ability to work independently, take ownership, and manage testing priorities in a fast-paced delivery environment.
