Learn more at cdio.ai. About the role:- We’re hiring a part-time contract QA Engineer to own quality across our web stack in a fast-paced startup environment. You’ll split your time between exploratory manual testing and building an end-to-end automated test suite that lets us ship confidently. This is a remote contract position open to international candidates, with approximately 3 to 10 hours of work per week. What you’ll do:- • Plan and execute manual test passes for new features, regressions, and pre-release builds across desktop and mobile browsers • Write and maintain a Playwright (or Cypress) E2E suite covering critical user journeys, wired into CI on every pull request • Test Contentful workflows (preview, publish, scheduled releases); verify analytics, Google Tag Manager, reCAPTCHA, and forms • Validate sandbox / non-prod deployments on AWS ECS and help define release-acceptance gates before promotion to production • File clear, reproducible bug reports and partner with engineers on test strategy during design and PR review • Work with non-technical stakeholders (clinical, marketing, content, product) to translate requirements into test scenarios • Build a working understanding of complex workflows that span the website, CMS, analytics, and third-party integrations • Create and maintain documentation for workflows, test procedures, and known edge cases so the team has a clear reference • Provide UI/UX feedback: flag confusing flows, broken visual hierarchy, inconsistent patterns, and friction points • Maintain test plans, test data, and reusable test accounts so coverage stays current as the product evolves Tech stack:- Next.js, React, TypeScript · Contentful · AWS (S3, RDS, ECS, ECR, WAF) · GitHub Actions · Playwright / Cypress · Google Tag Manager · reCAPTCHA · Husky / lint-staged Required • 2+ years of professional QA experience on web applications • Hands-on E2E automation experience with Playwright, Cypress, or similar • JavaScript / TypeScript proficient enough to author maintainable test code • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD (GitHub Actions or similar) • Working knowledge of browser dev tools, network inspection, and API testing (Postman, Insomnia, or programmatic) • Clear communication with both engineers and non-technical stakeholders • Ability to reason about complex, multi-system workflows and an eye for UI/UX • Comfort with Git, a PR-based workflow, and a fast-paced startup environment Nice to have:- • Experience testing Next.js / React applications and headless CMSes (Contentful, Sanity, Strapi) • AWS experience (ECS, CloudWatch logs); accessibility testing (axe, Lighthouse, screen readers) • Background in regulated or clinical software environments (HIPAA, ISO 13485, SOC 2)
