Engineering: Mechanical, Structural, Civil

We are an established engineering and manufacturing company seeking a reliable, overseas mechanical engineering contractor (individual or small firm) to provide peak-shaving support for our core team over the next few months. This role will handle overflow work ranging from standard production drafting to pure engineering design. If you have deep experience in metal fabrication and structural components, we want to establish an ongoing partnership. Key Responsibilities: Production Drafting & Design: Update existing drawings, create new production-ready manufacturing prints, and design simple mechanical products from conceptual briefs. Engineering Calculations: Perform structural calculations, specifically evaluating Safe Working Loads (SWL) on machined or cast heavy-duty wheels. Multi-Discipline Engineering: Support varied mechanical engineering tasks as overflow dictates. Required Qualifications: Software: Must utilize the latest version of SolidWorks (files must be fully compatible with our environment without translation loss). Material Expertise: Proven track record working with metals (castings, forgings, sheet metal, Stainless pipe and/or heavy machined components). Industry Experience: Direct experience with foundry products, cast metals, or heavy industrial hardware is highly preferred. Communication: Strong English communication skills and ability to interpret engineering markups accurately.
