English (ESL) Conversation Club Facilitator/Host Needed

We are an online ESL education brand for global professionals. We are looking for an engaging, energetic, and reliable host/conversation club facilitator to lead live online English conversation sessions for our global community of adult English learners once per week. The ideal candidate is energetic, patient, reliable, and passionate about helping students build confidence in spoken English. Position Overview As a Speaking Practice Host, you will facilitate interactive Zoom sessions focused on natural conversation and fluency. Sessions include small and large group discussions. Key Responsibilities: -Host live English speaking practice sessions on Zoom -Create a welcoming, energetic, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment -Be able to help students find common themes and connect with each other in conversations -Bring the feeling of the All Ears English Podcast to the live sessions (positivity, optimism, connection) -Guide conversations and keep discussions flowing naturally -Help students improve fluency and confidence -Encourage participation from quieter/less confident students -Create and manage breakout rooms (3 per session that last 5-7 minutes each) -Maintain professionalism and punctuality for all scheduled classes -Skills and Traits in Successful Host -Excellent spoken English skills -Strong communication and interpersonal skills -Friendly, positive, energetic, and confident on camera -Experience teaching, tutoring, coaching, hosting, or facilitating groups preferred -Comfortable using Zoom and helping students troubleshoot technical issues -Ability to engage and support learners from diverse cultural backgrounds -Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace Preferred Qualifications: -TEFL/TESOL certification desired -Experience teaching ESL/EFL students -Public speaking, podcasting, or hosting experience -Experience leading calls using Zoom or other online platforms Work Schedule: -Flexible, remote schedule -You can choose the exact times you run OCC (see requirements below) -Host a session once per week (potential to add more times later if things go well) Times should be: Weeknight evenings at 8pm or 9pm Japan time (at least twice per month) Weekends (at least twice per month). This means Saturday mid morning (10am or later), Saturday afternoon or Saturday evening Japan time or Sunday anytime morning, afternoon, or evening Japan time, please plan to vary time somewhat in a month, not always the same time Some flexibility requested based on student feedback if necessary OCC sessions are 45 minutes plus 5 minutes after to record attendance and 5 minutes before to log on and make sure everything is working Compensation: Competitive hourly pay based on experience Potential opportunities for additional hosting hours and special events Ideal Candidate The ideal host is reliable and attends all scheduled sessions, can make students feel comfortable speaking English, keeps energy levels high during live sessions, and creates meaningful conversations that help learners connect with each other while building fluency and confidence.
