We're looking for an exceptional IB English Language B instructor who shares this philosophy. --- About the Role We are seeking an experienced IB English Language B (SL) instructor to lead a structured 10-week accelerated growth program for a high-achieving international student currently enrolled in the IB Diploma Programme. This is not traditional tutoring. You'll work from Awaqe's curriculum framework while bringing your own teaching style, examples, and expertise to each lesson. Our goal is to develop students who not only perform well on IB assessments but also become stronger communicators, writers, and thinkers. -- Responsibilities Deliver engaging one-on-one online instruction for IB English Language B (SL) Teach reading, listening, writing, speaking, grammar, and vocabulary aligned with IB standards Prepare students for all IB English B assessment components, including the Individual Oral and written assessments Connect language learning to real-world topics such as technology, AI, business, entrepreneurship, economics, sports, and global issues Provide constructive written feedback after each lesson Track student progress using Awaqe's Weekly Performance Tracker Follow Awaqe's Instructional Protocol for every lesson -- Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field Minimum 5 years teaching IB English Language B or equivalent international curriculum Experience teaching multilingual and ESL learners Excellent spoken English with a clear, neutral accent Strong understanding of IB assessment criteria and scoring rubrics Comfortable teaching students aiming for highly selective universities Preferred Qualifications IB English Language B Examiner experience Current or former international school teacher Experience teaching students from East Asia, particularly Chinese international students Experience preparing students for both IB and TOEFL/IELTS Familiarity with U.S., U.K., or Canadian university admissions expectations Awaqe Teaching Philosophy Our instructors are coaches—not lecturers. Every lesson should maximize student thinking, speaking, writing, and reflection.
