European Toy Product Intellectual Property (IP) Consultant / Specialist (Part-time)

We are a Chinese supplier of pet and toy products and are currently planning to launch a new product on the European market. As this product shares certain similarities with existing products on the market in terms of design, structure or function, we are seeking a professional familiar with European intellectual property regulations to assist us with a pre-launch risk assessment. Key Requirements: Assist in analysing whether the product poses any potential intellectual property risks; Conduct searches regarding the following European intellectual property rights: EU Registered Designs Patents Trade Marks Copyright; Assess whether the product may infringe upon existing products; Provide recommendations for product modifications to mitigate future sales risks; Provide a Freedom to Operate (FTO) assessment, if necessary. Candidate Requirements: Familiarity with IP regulations in the EU toy or consumer goods sectors; Experience in conducting searches at the EUIPO and the European Patent Office; Experience with cases involving toys, pet products or consumer goods is preferred; European intellectual property lawyers, patent agents or IP consultants are all eligible.
