Event & Conference Partner – Sydney Medical Conference, Feb 2027 (Trial, Aiming to Extend)

Start date: September 2026 Budget: 2-month trial at AUD$2,500/month (AUD$5,000, ~US$3,542 total). Extends month-by-month to AUD$15,000 (~US$10,625) across 6 months if it's a good fit. Description: mconferra is a start-up building out its presence in the events and conference industry. We're looking for an independent Event & Conference Project Partner, starting September 2026 with a 2-month trial, extending through the Sydney Medical Conference (22–26+ Feb 2027) if it's working well for both sides — with real potential for an ongoing partnership beyond that. You'll work alongside us on exhibition and venue vendors, delegate and faculty liaison (including international and national faculty), invoicing/admin, and onsite delivery at the conference. mconferra owns sponsorship, stakeholders, and marketing & sales directly. We're not managing your hours — you run your own time and approach, and we'll shape specific milestones together once you're onboarded. What we're looking for: Based in Sydney preferred, but open to candidates elsewhere in Australia willing to travel — mandatory onsite availability in Sydney City, 22–26+ Feb 2027, no exceptions -Independent contractor — own tools, own way of working -Experience in event or conference support, exhibitions, or trade shows (Preferred) -Experience with EventsAir and/or Mailchimp is a plus — happy to train if you haven't used these before -Comfortable with delegate communications and international/national faculty liaison -Basic invoicing/admin skills (spreadsheet reconciliation, cost tracking) -Genuine interest in events and conferences, with an eye toward a longer-term partnership as we grow — not just one job for a single event To apply: Confirm you can be onsite in Sydney City for the conference delivery dates, 22–26+ Feb 2027 (this is mandatory), and tell us about your event/exhibition experience or other industry experience and why an ongoing relationship (rather than just one job) appeals to you.
