Excel Data Entry Specialist – Electrical Asset Register Migration (Existing Project) We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable freelancer to assist with the final stage of an existing electrical asset register migration project. Approximately 80% of this project has already been completed by another freelancer. Due to their unavailability, we are looking for someone to take over and complete the remaining work. The remaining task involves transferring existing electrical asset data from an older Excel asset register into a new standardised Excel template for approximately 50–60 industrial buildings across three remaining property estates. This is primarily a data migration and quality control task. The information already exists; however, the two spreadsheets are structured differently, meaning careful review and accurate placement of information is required. Scope of Work You will be required to: Review existing electrical asset registers. Copy and transfer asset information into our new Excel template. Ensure data is entered into the correct columns despite differences between spreadsheet formats. Maintain accuracy and consistency across all entries. Apply basic judgement when matching information between the old and new formats. Follow our provided video instructions explaining the process, formatting requirements and examples. Information being transferred includes items such as: Property / estate location Building address Building name Switchboard location Asset type (e.g. MSB, distribution board, switchboard) Phase type (single phase / three phase) Electrical ratings and equipment details Other existing asset information Important Requirements Accuracy is critical. This is not simply a copy-and-paste exercise — you will need to review the information and understand where data belongs within the new template. For example: A "Common Area" location in the existing spreadsheet may need to be entered under a different naming convention in the new template. Asset descriptions may need to be matched to the correct category. Some fields may require interpretation based on the existing data structure. We will provide: The existing asset register. The new asset register template. A detailed video walkthrough explaining the process. Examples of completed sections for reference. Ideal Freelancer You will have: Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent attention to detail. Experience with data migration, spreadsheet management or asset registers. The ability to follow processes independently. Good judgement and problem-solving skills. Reliable communication and ability to provide progress updates. Experience with technical, engineering, construction or facilities-related spreadsheets would be highly regarded, but is not essential if you are comfortable working with structured data. Project Details Remaining workload: Approximately 50–60 buildings across three industrial estates. This is the final stage of a larger asset register project. Immediate start available.
