Excel + Power Automate Expert Needed – Automated Gmail Email System

We are looking for an strong Excel and Power Automate expert to build a simple, reliable automation that takes raw Excel spreadsheets, performs calculations automatically, and generates personalized Gmail email drafts. What we need can also be automated using macros (old world way too). Objective Our goal is simple: Upload Excel files → Click a button → Data is processed automatically → Gmail drafts are created. Current Process Today, we manually: • Review multiple Excel spreadsheets • Calculate performance metrics • Rank employees • Evaluate performance results • Create individualized emails We want to automate as much of this process as possible. Scope • The solution should: • Read multiple Excel workbooks and worksheets • Process and transform data • Calculate performance metrics • Apply business rules • Rank employees based on results • Generate personalized Gmail drafts • Support multiple email templates and scenarios Initial Metrics The initial pilot will focus on five performance metrics. • Each metric will have: • Its own business rules • Performance evaluation logic • Email template logic • Personalized Gmail draft generation Email Scenarios • Performance coaching emails • Safety coaching emails • Recognition emails • Performance improvement communications • Metric-specific performance emails Desired End State A user can: 1. Upload Excel spreadsheets • Click a button • Automatically process all data • Generate personalized Gmail drafts No manual calculations. No manual copy/paste. No manual email creation. Required Skills • Advanced Excel (Genuine old world skills) • Power Query OR Power Automate (optional) • Gmail integrations • Data transformation and automation • Experience using advanced excel features and integrating emails from spreadsheet data Strongly Preferred Candidates who have previously built: • Excel-to-Gmail automation • Automated email generation systems • KPI or scorecard reporting workflows • Employee performance reporting solutions Deliverables • End-to-end automated workflows for 5 performance metrics • Automated Excel data processing and calculations • Business rule implementation for performance, safety, and recognition scenarios • Employee ranking and metric evaluation logic • Personalized Gmail draft generation • Reusable email templates • One-click or simple trigger-based execution • Documentation and knowledge transfer session Important We are looking for someone who has done something similar before and can move quickly. This is not a large enterprise project. We typically work with approximately 10 Excel spreadsheets and hundreds of records.
