Experience SaaS Tester

Title: Manual QA Tester / Technical Virtual Assistant for AI SaaS Applications We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Tester/Technical Virtual Assistant to thoroughly test an early-stage AI-powered SaaS application before public launch. The initial project will focus on LeadSignal, a lead-generation platform that helps businesses identify prospective customers, evaluate leads, create campaigns and generate personalized outreach content. This is a fixed-price project with the potential for ongoing part-time work testing additional SaaS and mobile applications. Responsibilities * Review the application and develop a structured test plan. * Test registration, login, logout and password recovery. * Test onboarding and account setup. * Create and manage lead-generation campaigns. * Evaluate lead results, scoring and filtering. * Test AI-generated outreach messages for accuracy, relevance and usability. * Identify incorrect, incomplete or misleading AI responses. * Test subscription, upgrade, cancellation and failed-payment workflows in a test environment. * Test forms, buttons, navigation, links, downloads and exports. * Test empty states, error messages and unusual user inputs. * Perform desktop, tablet and mobile-responsive testing. * Test Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge. * Identify functional, usability and visual-design problems. * Record significant issues using screenshots or Loom videos. * Enter bugs into our designated tracking system. * Clearly document the steps required to reproduce each issue. * Assign an appropriate severity level to every bug. * Retest resolved bugs and confirm whether each correction works. * Provide a final launch-readiness report. Required Deliverables 1. A complete test plan covering all major features and customer workflows. 2. Written test cases with expected and actual results. 3. A prioritized bug report containing: * Bug title * Description * Reproduction steps * Expected result * Actual result * Device and browser * Screenshot or video * Severity rating 4. Cross-browser and mobile compatibility report. 5. AI-response quality assessment. 6. Usability observations and recommendations. 7. Retesting report after corrections are implemented. 8. Final launch-readiness assessment identifying critical, high, medium and low-priority issues. Required Qualifications * Experience manually testing SaaS, web or mobile applications. * Experience with functional, exploratory and regression testing. * Ability to write clear test cases and reproducible bug reports. * Experience testing responsive websites across browsers and devices. * Strong written English and attention to detail. * Experience with Jira, ClickUp, Trello, Notion or a similar bug-tracking platform. * Ability to record and annotate issues using Loom or similar software. * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications * Experience testing AI-powered products. * Experience testing lead-generation, CRM or marketing applications. * Familiarity with Stripe test payments and subscription workflows. * Familiarity with Postman or basic API testing. * Experience testing applications created with Replit. * Experience recruiting or coordinating beta testers. Project Structure * Engagement: Fixed-price initial project * Estimated workload: 20–30 hours * Proposed budget: $400–$700, based on experience and proposed approach * Initial focus: One AI-powered SaaS application * Potential follow-on work: Approximately 5–10 hours per week testing updates and additional applications The selected contractor will receive access to a staging or test environment containing dummy information. Access to live payment credentials, production customer information or other sensitive data will not be provided.
