Experienced Adobe Premiere Pro Video Editor (Ongoing Work)

ABOUT YOU We're looking for an experienced Adobe Premiere Pro editor to become a trusted freelance editing specialist and an extension of our production team. You'll work behind the scenes on a variety of client projects, helping us deliver thoughtful, high-quality video content while we manage the creative direction, strategy and client relationships. We have a variety of projects ready to begin immediately, with ongoing work available for the right person. This role is ideal for an experienced freelance editor looking for consistent overflow work from an established creative studio. We're looking for quality over the lowest hourly rate—if you're efficient, organised and produce excellent work, we'd much rather pay more for someone who gets it right the first time. Our clients trust us because we create thoughtful, strategic content—not just videos that look good. We're looking for an editor who understands pacing, storytelling and brand consistency just as much as technical editing. You'll enjoy creating clean, polished edits, following a clear brief, and working confidently as a white-label editing specialist behind the scenes. You care about making the project successful—not simply completing the edit. ABOUT US We're a creative studio based in Perth, Western Australia, producing branding, marketing and visual content for businesses ranging from small local brands through to established organisations across a variety of industries. To support our growing workload, we're looking for a trusted freelance editing specialist who can become a reliable extension of our production team. We value good editorial judgement over flashy editing. We appreciate editors who know when to cut, when to let a moment breathe, and who can create clean, professional videos that feel polished without being over-produced. --- ABOUT THE WORK You'll be editing a variety of projects, including both long-form and short-form content. Examples include: # Online Courses * Two-camera edits * Syncing footage * Cleaning audio * Removing mistakes, pauses and filler words * Creating chapter videos * Exporting individual lesson files # Event Videos * Reviewing footage and selecting the strongest moments * Creating promotional highlight videos * Producing short social media clips # Corporate Marketing Content * Podcasts * Webinars * Loom recordings * Software demonstrations * Client interviews * Casual phone footage * Promotional reels * Long-form educational content Most edits are straightforward and focus on producing clean, professional videos rather than complex motion graphics. Typical editing tasks include: * Cleaning audio * Removing "umms", "ahhs" and mistakes * Tightening pacing * Multi-camera editing * Basic colour correction where required * Simple transitions * Basic titles (occasionally) * Exporting in multiple formats * Some projects may require exports both with and without subtitles. --- # Our Workflow We work primarily in **Adobe Premiere Pro**, and all editing must remain within Premiere. We'll provide: * Premiere project files (where applicable) * Raw footage * Clear editing briefs * Brand guidelines * Previous video examples * Assets such as logos, fonts and music where available We're looking for someone who can pick up a project, understand the brief, ask thoughtful questions when needed, and deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision. - File organisation: Maintaining tidy project organisation and naming conventions. Returning organised Premiere project files that can be picked up by another editor if required. Due to the size of our projects, a reliable high-speed internet connection is essential. We welcome editors who responsibly use AI tools to improve efficiency (audio cleanup, transcription, rough cuts etc.), provided the final result meets a professional standard. But dont want you to change the way people appear (ie not "Photoshopping" the way people look, but being mindful of selecting flattering angles where possible). --- # We're Looking For Someone Who: * Has extensive experience using Adobe Premiere Pro * Has excellent English communication and comprehension * Can follow detailed creative briefs * Has a strong eye for pacing and storytelling * Produces polished, professional edits * Is organised and reliable * Communicates proactively if something is unclear * Meets agreed deadlines * Is comfortable working independently Bonus (not essential): * Adobe After Effects experience * Audio cleanup experience * Colour grading experience * Experience editing content for YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram and online courses --- # Project Structure Projects will vary in size and complexity, so we're happy to work on either: * Hourly rate * Day rate * Fixed-price projects (where appropriate) We expect this to become an ongoing working relationship with the right person. --- # Confidentiality All client footage, project files and assets are strictly confidential and remain the property of our studio.
