Experienced B2B Sales Development Specialist / Appointment Setter Needed for Engineering, AI & Automation Services We are looking for an experienced B2B Sales Development Specialist to help generate qualified sales conversations for Sheridan Technologies and Sheridan Systems. This role is not just basic cold calling. We need someone who can research prospects, identify strong-fit opportunities, conduct outbound calls and emails, manage follow-up, keep the CRM clean, and consistently book qualified appointments with business owners, operators, founders, engineering leaders, product leaders, and technical decision-makers. The ideal candidate has proven experience selling or appointment-setting for B2B services, consulting, technology services, engineering services, automation, AI, software, startups, or professional services. ## Company Context Sheridan Technologies helps teams build, integrate, and rescue complex electronics, embedded systems, firmware, software, sensor systems, robotics-adjacent systems, connected products, and AI-enabled products. Sheridan Systems helps businesses improve efficiency, conversions, and scalability through consulting, workflow automation, AI implementation, CRM/process improvement, customer journey optimization, and better operating systems. We need help building a consistent outbound sales motion for both sides of the business. ## What We Need We need a reliable sales development specialist who can help with: * B2B prospecting * Cold calling * Cold outbound email * LinkedIn outreach * Lead research * Appointment setting * CRM management * Pipeline tracking * Follow-up sequences * Daily activity reporting * Weekly sales meetings * Sales process improvement * Outreach messaging refinement The goal is to generate qualified conversations, not just activity. ## Primary Responsibilities You may be responsible for some or all of the following: * Research and identify high-fit prospects. * Build targeted lead lists based on industry, title, trigger signals, and likely need. * Conduct B2B cold calling campaigns. * Send personalized outbound emails. * Support LinkedIn prospecting and follow-up. * Qualify prospects before booking meetings. * Schedule qualified appointments with decision-makers. * Maintain CRM records and pipeline stages. * Track calls, emails, replies, follow-ups, meetings booked, and outcomes. * Provide end-of-day reports on work completed, calls made, contacts reached, replies received, and appointments set. * Participate in weekly sales meetings to review pipeline, messaging, objections, and next steps. * Help improve scripts, email templates, call openers, follow-up sequences, and qualification criteria. * Identify what messaging is working and what needs to change. * Keep communication active through a dedicated group chat during agreed working windows. ## Target Buyers Depending on the campaign, target buyers may include: For Sheridan Technologies: * CTOs * VP Engineering * Directors of Engineering * Heads of Hardware * Heads of Embedded Systems * Product leaders * Program managers * Technical founders * Robotics, autonomy, aerospace, defense, medical device, industrial automation, and connected-device companies For Sheridan Systems: * Business owners * Founders * Operators * General managers * Professional service firms * Local/regional businesses * Growth-focused companies with operational friction * Companies needing automation, AI tools, CRM cleanup, workflow improvement, lead handling, or customer journey optimization ## Strong-Fit Sales Experience Please apply if you have experience with several of the following: * B2B cold calling * B2B appointment setting * Lead generation * Cold outbound email * LinkedIn prospecting * Apollo.io * HubSpot * Pipedrive * Zoho CRM * Sales Navigator * CRM setup or CRM cleanup * Pipeline building * Prospect research * Follow-up management * Selling consulting services * Selling technology services * Selling software, automation, AI, engineering, or professional services * Working with founders, CEOs, CTOs, or business owners * Booking qualified appointments, not just generating unqualified leads ## Required Working Style This role requires consistency, responsiveness, and accountability. Please only apply if you can: * Work independently without constant supervision. * Communicate daily through a group chat or shared sales channel. * Provide clear end-of-day activity reports. * Attend weekly sales meetings. * Track all activity in a CRM or shared pipeline. * Follow up consistently without dropping leads. * Research prospects before outreach. * Personalize outreach instead of sending generic spam. * Ask good qualifying questions. * Take feedback and adjust messaging quickly. * Report honestly on what is working and what is not. ## Daily Reporting Expectations At the end of each workday, we expect a simple report covering: * Number of calls made * Number of contacts reached * Number of emails sent * Number of LinkedIn touches completed, if applicable * Replies received * Follow-ups completed * Qualified appointments booked * Objections heard * Notable prospect feedback * Blockers or recommendations ## Qualified Appointment Criteria A booked meeting should generally meet these criteria: * The prospect matches the target buyer profile. * The company appears to have a relevant need. * The prospect understands why the meeting was booked. * The meeting is with a decision-maker, influencer, or strong internal champion. * The prospect has some plausible interest in engineering support, product rescue, automation, AI implementation, sales/process improvement, or business optimization. * The meeting is not booked through misleading claims or vague promises. We are not looking for someone who books unqualified meetings just to hit a number. We are not looking for a script reader who cannot understand the offer, buyer, or pain point. We are not looking for consumer-only sales experience unless you also have strong B2B experience. We need someone who can think, research, communicate clearly, and help build a repeatable outbound process. ## Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a proven B2B SDR, appointment setter, cold caller, or outbound sales specialist who has built or supported sales pipelines from the ground up. You should be comfortable selling services where the buyer’s need may not be obvious at first. You should know how to find trigger signals, connect them to a plausible business problem, start a conversation, and book a qualified meeting. Experience selling to technical, professional, consulting, startup, engineering, automation, AI, software, or business-service buyers is strongly preferred. ## Preferred: Access to Prospecting Data, Signals, and Trigger Tools Strong preference for candidates who already have access to prospecting, sales intelligence, or signal-tracking tools that can help identify high-fit accounts and timely outreach angles. We are open to hourly, part-time, or milestone-based arrangements.
