Experienced Base44 & Shopify Developer for Long-Term Agency Work

Web Developer – Base44 + Shopify | Long-Term Monthly Agency Role We are a growing UK-based web design and development agency looking for an experienced, reliable and highly skilled Web Developer to join our agency on a long-term basis. This is NOT a one-off freelance project. We are looking for one developer who can work with us every month and handle the website projects assigned to them. You will receive a fixed monthly payment, rather than being paid individually for each website/project. The number and type of projects may vary each month, so you must be comfortable working across multiple client projects and managing your workload effectively. Essential Skills You MUST have strong experience with both: Base44 * Building complete websites using Base44 * Building web applications and client portals * Responsive/mobile-first development * Databases and backend functionality * Authentication * Forms and workflows * Admin dashboards * API integrations * Payment integrations * Troubleshooting and bug fixing * Turning designs/mockups into working websites Shopify * Building complete Shopify ecommerce websites * Shopify Liquid * HTML/CSS/JavaScript * Custom Shopify sections * Shopify Theme Editor/schema * Theme customisation * Product and collection pages * Custom navigation * Mobile optimisation * Shopify app integrations * Troubleshooting Liquid/theme errors * Creating premium custom designs rather than basic template websites ChatGPT Plus & Website Mockups You must also be comfortable using ChatGPT Plus as part of your workflow. We regularly create visual website mockups before development. You should be able to use ChatGPT effectively to: * Generate professional website mockup images * Create desktop and mobile website concepts * Produce different design variations * Write detailed prompts * Refine designs based on client feedback * Use reference websites/images to create suitable concepts * Create premium-looking website designs that can then be developed in Base44 or Shopify You should have a good eye for design and understand what makes a website look modern, premium and professional. Trello We use Trello for project and task management. You must be comfortable using Trello daily to: * View assigned projects * Manage tasks * Follow project requirements * Update task status * Add progress updates * Work through revisions * Keep projects organised You will be expected to keep Trello updated without needing to be constantly reminded. Communication Is Extremely Important You MUST have excellent written and spoken English. We need someone who: * Communicates clearly and professionally * Responds promptly during agreed working hours * Provides regular progress updates * Immediately communicates any problems or delays * Understands instructions properly * Asks sensible questions when something is unclear * Does not disappear during projects * Can work independently without constant supervision Poor communication will be a deal-breaker regardless of development ability. What You’ll Be Working On Our agency works with businesses across different industries. You may be assigned: * Business websites * Ecommerce websites * Shopify stores * Landing pages * Client portals * Admin dashboards * Booking systems * Membership websites * Database-driven platforms * Website redesigns * Website mockups * Mobile optimisation * Client revisions * Bug fixes * API integrations * Payment integrations * Ongoing website maintenance Some projects will be simple websites, while others may require more advanced functionality. Monthly Payment Structure This position will operate on a fixed monthly payment. You will not be paid separately for every individual website or task. The monthly payment covers the projects and development work assigned to you during the agreed working arrangement. Workload may vary. Some months may be busier than others. Because of this, we are looking for someone interested in becoming a long-term member of our agency, rather than someone looking for occasional freelance projects. The exact monthly payment will be discussed based on your experience, skill level, availability and the quality of your work. Developer Test – REQUIRED Before hiring, shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a small practical Base44 development test. We will provide you with a website brief/mockup and ask you to develop a small website using Base44. This allows us to assess your: * Base44 knowledge * Development ability * Design accuracy * Mobile responsiveness * Attention to detail * Speed * Problem-solving * Communication * Ability to follow instructions Your technical test will play an important part in our final hiring decision.
