Experienced Board Game Graphic Designer for Commercial Golf Tabletop Game
Worldwide
Experienced Board Game Graphic Designer Needed for Commercial Publication I’m preparing my original golf-themed board game, Tee’d Off, for commercial manufacture and retail sale, and I’m looking for an experienced board game graphic designer to become a key creative partner in bringing it to market. This is not a game design project. The gameplay, mechanics and rules are already well developed. I am looking for an expert who can create the professional visual identity of the game and prepare it for commercial manufacture. About the Game Tee’d Off is a strategic yet accessible golf-themed tabletop game for solo play or up to eight players. It combines course management, tactical decision-making and an element of luck to create an enjoyable experience for both golfers and non-golfers. Development is already well advanced and includes: * Complete gameplay mechanics * Draft rulebook * Component list * Board layouts * Card content * Dice mechanics * Working prototype * Initial discussions with manufacturers Scope of Work I am looking for an experienced designer who can produce a cohesive, professional visual identity across the entire game and prepare all artwork for commercial production. The project includes: * Retail box artwork * Folding game board artwork * Playing card layouts * Rulebook layout * Scorecards * Icons and graphic elements * Overall branding and graphic styling * Production-ready artwork suitable for commercial manufacture Final artwork should be prepared to professional manufacturing standards, including bleed areas, die lines, CMYK colour profiles and manufacturer production specifications. Essential Experience Please only apply if you have experience working on published board games or card games. Experience in the following is highly desirable: * Board game graphic design * Card game layout * Packaging design * Print production * Preparing production-ready artwork for commercial manufacturing * Adobe Illustrator * Adobe InDesign Experience working with overseas manufacturers or preparing files for international board game production would be an advantage. How I’d Like to Work I would like to work collaboratively through clearly defined milestones, reviewing and approving each stage before moving on to the next. Shortlisted applicants will receive a comprehensive design brief, including the rulebook, component specifications, prototype information and supporting material before providing a final quotation. I’m looking to build a long-term relationship with the right designer. There is potential for future work on expansion packs, updated editions and additional tabletop game projects. When You Apply Please include: * Examples of published board games or card games you have worked on. * Links to your portfolio. * A brief explanation of your role in each project. * Whether you prepared the production files for manufacture. * Your preferred approach to a project of this size. Please begin your proposal by answering these three questions: 1. Which published board game or card game project are you most proud of, and what was your role? 2. Did you prepare the final production files for manufacture? 3. Why do you believe you would be a good fit for Tee’d Off? I look forward to reviewing your portfolio and discussing the project with you.
