Experienced China Sourcing Agent: Water Cooling Mattress System, OEM/ODM Factory Vetting

We are a Denmark-based e-commerce company launching a premium consumer product for the European market: an active sleep cooling system consisting of a water-circulation mattress pad and a thermal control hub (similar category to Eight Sleep Pod, Sleepme Chilipad, Navien Mate). We are looking for an experienced, independent sourcing agent in China to help us identify and vet manufacturers. This is NOT a textile or general merchandise sourcing job. The product is an electromechanical appliance (pump, thermoelectric/compressor cooling, electronics, water circulation), so we need someone with a background in appliance or consumer electronics sourcing, ideally in the Shenzhen/Dongguan/Qingdao ecosystems. Scope of work (Phase 1): 1. Identify and verify 3-5 OEM/ODM manufacturers with an existing, proven water-circulation sleep cooling system suitable for white label (logo, cover, packaging adjustments only) 2. Conduct background checks: business license, export history, existing Western clients, factory audit reports 3. Collect quotations (MOQ, unit pricing, sample cost/lead time, payment terms) 4. Verify EU compliance capability: CE (LVD, EMC), RoHS, WEEE documentation for the actual product, not generic certificates 5. Deliver a structured comparison so we can select 2-3 for samples We have a detailed 1-page sourcing brief ready with full technical requirements, reference products, quality signals, and red flags. This will be shared with shortlisted candidates. Success bonus: On top of the agreed fee, we offer a $500 bonus if the manufacturer we end up placing our first production batch with (after sample approval) was found and introduced by you. Requirements: 1. Proven experience sourcing electromechanical/appliance products (please share 2-3 relevant examples) 2. Fluent English, written and spoken 3. Willing to sign an NNN agreement 4. References from Western clients we can contact 5. Transparent fee structure: fixed fee or hourly + estimated hours. No commission arrangements with factories. Longer term: If Phase 1 goes well, there is significant follow-up work: sample coordination, factory audits, QC inspections, and a Phase 2 co-development project with the selected partner.
