The ideal candidate will have substantial experience drafting construction agreements, subcontractor agreements, demand responses, settlement-related correspondence, scopes of work, change orders, releases, and other construction-industry documents. The immediate assignment may include reviewing existing contracts and supporting records, organizing the relevant facts, identifying important contract provisions, and preparing a well-structured draft response for review and approval by management and, when appropriate, licensed legal counsel. **Responsibilities:** * Review contracts, subcontractor agreements, invoices, change orders, correspondence, and supporting records. * Organize the facts, timeline, payments, disputed items, and relevant contract provisions. * Prepare a clear and professional draft response concerning the contractual matter. * Draft or revise construction agreements and related documents. * Identify unclear, inconsistent, or missing contractual language. * Incorporate revisions provided by management or reviewing counsel. * Maintain strict confidentiality concerning all company and dispute-related information. **Required Experience:** * Demonstrated experience drafting construction-related contracts and documents. * Familiarity with contractor and subcontractor agreements, payment terms, change orders, indemnification, warranties, scope-of-work provisions, termination clauses, and dispute-resolution language. * Strong written English and exceptional attention to detail. * Ability to work from a large collection of emails, contracts, invoices, and supporting documents. * Paralegal, contract-management, or legal-document-drafting experience is preferred. * Familiarity with Maine construction contracts or Maine law is a significant advantage. Please include: 1. A description of your construction-contract drafting experience. 2. The types of construction documents you have prepared. 3. Whether you are a paralegal, contract specialist, or licensed attorney, and the jurisdiction of any license. 4. Redacted writing samples, if available. 5. Your hourly rate or fixed-fee proposal. 6.
