# Experienced Grant Researcher Needed to Build Long-Term Funding Database for International Arts Project ### Project Overview We are looking for an experienced **grant researcher (not a grant writer)** to help us build a comprehensive, long-term funding pipeline for an internationally recognized contemporary artist and social impact initiative. This is a **research and organization project only.** We are **not** looking for someone to write grants at this stage. Our goal is to create a master database of **100–300 carefully matched grant opportunities** that can serve as our funding roadmap for years to come. We envision this becoming a living document that we will continue to expand and maintain over time. If this initial project goes well, we hope to establish a long-term working relationship and continue hiring you to research and add new funding opportunities on an ongoing basis. --- ## About the Project The project is centered around **The Healing Words Project**, an international initiative led by artist Kate Van Doren. The Healing Words Project combines contemporary realist painting, drawing, photography, storytelling, museum exhibitions, educational programming, and community engagement to amplify the voices of more than **2,000 women and gender-expansive individuals**, particularly those from historically marginalized communities. The project focuses on themes including: * Contemporary Visual Arts * Museum Exhibitions * Traveling Exhibitions * Arts Education * Women's Empowerment * Gender Equity * Mental Health * Trauma Recovery * Human Rights * Community Engagement * Social Justice * Documentary Photography * International Cultural Exchange * Arts & Healing We are looking for grant opportunities that closely align with these areas. --- ## Your Responsibilities Research and identify **100–300 high-quality grant opportunities** that are an excellent match for our project. For each opportunity, we would like you to provide: * Foundation or Organization Name * Website * Grant Program Name * Funding Amount * Eligibility Requirements * Geographic Restrictions * Application Deadline(s) * Whether the grant is annual, recurring, or rolling * Required application materials * Contact information (when available) * Website link to the application * Brief description of why it is a good fit * Your overall match rating (1–10) Please organize everything into a clean, searchable spreadsheet (Google Sheets or Excel) that will become our master grant database and annual grant submission calendar. --- ## Preferred Research Resources Experience using one or more of the following is highly preferred: * Candid Foundation Directory * GrantStation * Instrumentl * GrantWatch * Foundation websites * Government grant databases * Corporate foundation databases If you use additional professional research resources, we'd love to hear about them. --- ## Required Skills * Grant Research * Foundation Research * Prospect Research * Grant Prospecting * Internet Research * Strong Organizational Skills * Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel * Excellent Attention to Detail * Excellent Written English --- ## Preferred Experience Experience researching funding opportunities for one or more of the following: * Contemporary Artists * Museums * Arts Organizations * Women's Organizations * Human Rights * Mental Health Initiatives * Educational Programs * Social Impact Organizations * International Nonprofits --- ## Budget Budget: **$300–600 USD** We expect this project to take approximately **15–30 hours**, depending on your experience and research process. Quality is much more important to us than speed. We are looking for well-researched, highly targeted opportunities rather than simply compiling a long list. --- ## Timeline We would like the initial research completed within **2–4 weeks**, although we are flexible for the right candidate. --- ## What Success Looks Like By the end of this project, we hope to have: * A well-organized database of 100–300 carefully matched funding opportunities. * A year-round grant calendar organized by submission deadlines. * A prioritized list of the highest-probability funding opportunities. * A research partner we can continue working with for future grant identification and updates. --- ## To Apply Please include: 1.
