Experienced Hindi Teacher (India, K–5) — Assess & Level Hindi Reading Texts

About the work We're an education-technology team building tools that match Hindi reading material to a child's grade level. We need a practicing Hindi teacher in India to bring real classroom judgment to that work: Your Job will be: Looking at Hindi texts and determining the grade they're suited to, and explaining what makes a text easier or harder. This is hands-on, practical work grounded in how Hindi is actually taught in Indian schools — not theoretical and not academic writing. You must be: A current, practicing teacher in India (5 years minimum) — teaching now, in an Indian school (government, private, or board-affiliated). Mother-tongue Hindi, teaching Hindi to native/mother-tongue Hindi-speaking children (not Hindi as a second or foreign language). 5–10 years experience teaching Hindi at the primary level (roughly Class 1 to Class 5). Fluent in how the Indian school system works — grade progression, Hindi curriculum expectations by class, boards, and the standard reading resources (NCERT/SCERT and similar) a primary Hindi teacher is expected to know. This role is specifically not for tutors or teachers based outside India, or those teaching Hindi as a foreign/heritage language abroad — familiarity with the Indian classroom and curriculum is essential. What you'll do Read short Hindi texts and assign each an appropriate grade level (Class 1–5). Explain why a text fits a grade — sentence length and structure, मात्रा and संयुक्त-अक्षर (conjunct) complexity, vocabulary difficulty, and concept load. Help us understand how Hindi reading expectations change from one class to the next. Where useful, help shape or lightly source short grade-appropriate Hindi passages. To start: a small, paid initial engagement to assess and grade-level a set of Hindi texts and document the reasoning. If it goes well, this continues as ongoing hourly work.
