Experienced Payroll App Developer

We are looking for an experienced payroll software developer or development team to provide and customize a payroll application for use in the Philippines. We strongly prefer a developer who has previously built a payroll or HRIS application and already has a working, ready-made codebase that can be modified according to our requirements. This will not be a project built completely from scratch unless necessary. Important Source-Code Requirement Upon completion and full payment, our company must receive: * Complete and editable source code * Full ownership of the customized application * Full intellectual-property rights to all custom work created for the project * Source-code repository and version history * Database structure and documentation * API documentation * Administrator credentials * Deployment and installation instructions * Rights to modify, maintain, resell, or further develop the application without restrictions The developer must confirm that they legally own the existing codebase or have the legal right to transfer, license, and customize it for us. Please do not submit code belonging to a previous employer or client without proper authorization. Project Objective Customize an existing payroll application for companies operating in the Philippines. The system should be secure, user-friendly, scalable, and capable of processing payroll for multiple companies, locations, departments, and employees. Main Features The application should include or be capable of supporting: * Employee master records * Employee onboarding and document management * Multiple companies, branches, departments, and cost centers * Employee salary and compensation setup * Daily, weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payroll * Timekeeping and attendance integration * Biometric device or attendance-system integration * Overtime, holiday pay, night differential, rest-day pay, and other earnings * Late, absence, undertime, loan, and other deductions * Bonuses, commissions, incentives, allowances, and reimbursements * Philippine statutory deductions and employer contributions * SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG calculations * Withholding-tax calculations * Thirteenth-month pay calculations * Final-pay and separation-pay processing * Employee loans and salary advances * Leave balances and leave management * Payroll adjustments and retroactive payments * Payslip generation and employee self-service access * Payroll registers and management reports * Government contribution and tax reports * Bank payroll file generation * Accounting and general-ledger integration * Role-based user access and approval workflows * Audit trail showing payroll changes and approvals * Data import and export through Excel or CSV * Secure cloud deployment and database backup Experience integrating payroll with biometric attendance devices, banks, accounting applications, or Philippine government reporting systems is highly preferred. Required Work Experience Applicants should have: * At least two years of experience developing payroll, HRIS, HRMS, accounting, ERP, or financial applications * Previous experience completing and deploying a payroll application * Experience customizing an existing software platform for a client * Experience providing technical documentation, training, and post-launch support Preferred Candidate The ideal candidate: * Already has a functioning payroll application that can be demonstrated * Can customize the system for Philippine payroll requirements * Understands payroll security, confidentiality, and data protection * Writes organized, maintainable, and well-documented code * Communicates clearly and provides regular progress updates * Can provide training to administrators and payroll personnel * Can provide post-launch technical support and warranty coverage Project Deliverables The selected developer will be responsible for delivering: 1.
