Experienced Press Release Writer Needed for Ongoing Brand PR Projects

Job Description: We are looking for an experienced press release writer / PR content writer to help us turn brand announcements, company updates, product launches, partnerships, and social responsibility initiatives into polished, media-ready press releases. Our company, PetPivot, is a pet technology brand focused on smart pet care products. We are currently preparing several press releases, including announcements related to animal welfare partnerships, product donations, new product launches, retail expansion, and brand events. This first project will involve writing a full press release based on a detailed outline we provide. The topic is a charitable partnership between our brand and an animal rescue organization. However, we are looking for someone who can support us on an ongoing basis, not just for one article. The ideal writer should understand how to write a professional press release that is clear, newsworthy, concise, and suitable for U.S. media distribution. Responsibilities: Turn our press release outline into a complete, polished English press release Create a strong headline, subheadline, opening paragraph, body copy, quote sections, boilerplate, and media contact section Improve the news angle and make the announcement more compelling to journalists and media outlets Ensure the tone is professional, credible, and suitable for U.S. media Follow common press release structure and preferably AP-style writing standards Help refine messaging around product launches, partnerships, CSR initiatives, brand milestones, and events Work with our team on revisions when needed Expected length: approximately 600–900 words, depending on the final structure. Requirements: Proven experience writing press releases Strong English writing skills; native-level English preferred Experience with U.S. media, PR writing, or brand communications Ability to turn rough outlines into clear, compelling media-ready copy Understanding of how to make a brand announcement sound newsworthy Experience with pet, consumer tech, lifestyle, nonprofit, ESG, CSR, or product launch topics is a plus Ability to write in a professional but not overly promotional tone Comfortable working on ongoing PR writing projects Nice to Have: Experience writing press releases for PR distribution platforms Background in journalism, public relations, or corporate communications Experience writing for pet brands, consumer products, startups, nonprofit partnerships, or retail announcements To Apply, Please Include: 2–3 relevant press release samples A brief description of your PR writing experience Your typical turnaround time for a 600–900 word press release Your rate for one press release Whether you are available for ongoing projects We are looking for a reliable writer who can become a long-term PR writing partner for our brand.
