Faevaa Detail World is a growing hand car wash and automotive detailing business located in Houston, Texas. We are seeking an experienced, hands-on recruiter or talent acquisition specialist to become an extension of our team and help us fill two critical, full-time, in-person positions: General Manager Full-Charge Bookkeeper We have attempted to manage recruiting internally through job postings, candidate interviews, sponsored Indeed listings, and multiple staffing agencies. Unfortunately, these efforts have produced a high volume of unqualified candidates, poor matches, and expensive direct-hire fees without delivering the experienced professionals our business needs. We are not looking for another traditional staffing agency or someone who will simply post jobs and forward resumes. We need a recruiter who can take ownership of the hiring process, actively source qualified candidates, conduct meaningful prescreening, verify experience, and help us identify dependable professionals who can successfully take over the day-to-day operational and financial responsibilities of the business. This will be an hourly Upwork engagement. The selected recruiter will work as an extension of our company rather than under a percentage-based placement or direct-hire fee agreement. We can provide you with a company email address, RingCentral extension, and access to RingCentral video meetings so you can communicate professionally with candidates on behalf of Faevaa Detail World. Responsibilities will include: Reviewing and improving our job descriptions and candidate requirements Recommending the most effective recruiting platforms and sourcing strategy Posting and managing job advertisements with our approval Proactively sourcing qualified candidates instead of relying only on incoming applications Reviewing resumes and applications against strict minimum qualifications Conducting initial phone or video prescreening interviews Asking position-specific questions to verify actual experience Evaluating communication skills, professionalism, availability, compensation expectations, and career stability Confirming that candidates understand both positions are fully in-person in Houston Identifying employment gaps, frequent job changes, or inconsistencies that require clarification Coordinating interviews between qualified candidates and company leadership Maintaining an organized candidate pipeline and providing regular progress updates Assisting with reference checks, background-check coordination, and final hiring recommendations The General Manager must have substantial experience managing the daily operations, employees, customer service, sales performance, scheduling, accountability, and financial results of a high-volume service, automotive, retail, car wash, or detail business. The Full-Charge Bookkeeper must have strong hands-on experience managing a company’s complete bookkeeping cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit-card reconciliations, payroll coordination, general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, cash-flow tracking, and working directly with business ownership. This is not an entry-level bookkeeping position. The ideal freelancer will have: Proven experience recruiting management, accounting, or operational leadership positions Experience recruiting for small or privately owned businesses Strong candidate-sourcing and headhunting abilities Excellent telephone and video-interviewing skills The ability to distinguish genuine experience from polished but unsupported resumes Experience using Indeed, LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, Upwork, or other recruiting platforms Strong written communication and candidate follow-up skills A structured process for tracking, scoring, and comparing candidates The ability to work independently while keeping ownership informed Familiarity with the Houston employment market is strongly preferred We want someone who is persistent, organized, honest, and focused on candidate quality—not simply the number of applications received. Our goal is to develop an ongoing relationship with a recruiting professional who can support our current hiring needs and potentially assist with future staffing as our company grows.
