Upwork Job Post: Senior Talent Recruiter / HR Recruiter — E-commerce & Tech Job Title Senior Talent Recruiter / HR Recruiter for E-commerce, Tech, and Digital Agency Hiring Job Description We are looking for an experienced Talent Recruiter / HR Recruiter who can help us source, screen, and build a strong bench of high-quality candidates across the e-commerce, technology, digital marketing, and software development space. This role is for someone who understands how to recruit beyond basic job board searches. We need someone who can identify strong technical and non-technical talent, screen candidates properly, assess communication skills, evaluate real experience, and help us move quickly without sacrificing quality. We are especially interested in recruiters who have experience hiring for roles such as: Project Managers / Technical Project Managers Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento / Adobe Commerce, and Salesforce Commerce Cloud developers Frontend and backend developers QA engineers and automation testers Paid media specialists SEO specialists UX/UI designers Business analysts Solution architects E-commerce operations and implementation specialists The ideal person has strong recruiting experience in tech, e-commerce, SaaS, digital agencies, or staff augmentation environments. Responsibilities You will be responsible for: Sourcing qualified candidates from Upwork, LinkedIn, job boards, communities, and other channels Writing or improving job posts when needed Screening candidates for relevant experience, communication quality, availability, rate, and fit Creating candidate shortlists with clear notes and recommendations Coordinating interviews and keeping candidates organized Helping build a reliable talent bench for future projects Supporting both contractor and full-time recruitment needs Identifying red flags early before candidates reach leadership or project teams Maintaining a clean recruiting pipeline and status tracker Ideal Candidate You should have: 5+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience Strong experience recruiting for tech, e-commerce, SaaS, agency, or digital transformation roles Experience sourcing international and remote candidates Ability to screen both technical and non-technical candidates Strong written English and professional communication skills Ability to work independently and move fast Experience with tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Upwork, Indeed, Crelate, Greenhouse, Lever, Notion, Airtable, Google Sheets, Microsoft Teams, or similar systems Strong judgment when evaluating candidates Comfort working with a fast-moving agency environment Nice to Have Experience recruiting Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, SFCC, HubSpot, Odoo, Salesforce, ERP, or marketing technology talent Experience building contractor benches or staff augmentation pipelines Experience recruiting across LATAM, MENA, India, Eastern Europe, or the Philippines Experience creating structured interview scorecards Experience supporting agencies or consultancies Engagement Type This can start as a project-based or part-time engagement, with the opportunity to become ongoing if the fit is strong. We are looking for someone who can become a trusted recruiting partner, not just someone who sends resumes.
