ABOUT THE PROJECT: BYBEC is a premium artisanal bag brand currently in development for the US market, debuting at AETA Dallas in January 2027. We are building a collection of duffle bags, totes and handbags combining authentic hand block printed fabric with vegetable tanned leather. We need an experienced sourcing agent based in Jaipur to help us find, evaluate and manage our manufacturing partner. WHAT WE NEED: — Identify and visit 3-5 quality manufacturers in Jaipur who work with both block print fabric and leather — Evaluate each manufacturer against our quality standards (full checklist provided) — Photograph and report on each visit in detail — Manage communication and sampling process with selected manufacturer — Oversee quality control during sampling and production — Handle logistics coordination between manufacturer and US shipping WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: — Based in Jaipur or able to travel there regularly — Minimum 5 years experience in leather goods, textile or handicraft export manufacturing — Existing relationships with Jaipur manufacturers — this is essential — Deep knowledge of authentic hand block printing — Sanganer and Bagru traditions — Experience with US or European export clients — Strong English communication skills — Available to start immediately THIS IS NOT FOR: — Someone learning the industry on our timeline — A generalist with no specific leather or textile experience — Anyone who cannot visit manufacturers in person in Jaipur ENGAGEMENT: We are open to a monthly retainer arrangement.
