Experienced QA Tester Who Loves Fiction Books or Writing

# Experienced Tester Who Loves Fiction Books or Writing I’m looking for an experienced user tester to complete approximately 5 to 10 hours of focused testing on Wrender before its private beta launch. Wrender is an early-stage digital product for fiction writers. It gives writers a minimalist visual workspace where they can create maps, organise locations and build out the places within their stories alongside their existing writing process. The main goal of this testing round is to uncover bugs, broken flows, confusing experiences and anything that could create problems for beta users. ## What You’ll Test Testing will include: * Account creation, login and onboarding * Core features and user journeys * Navigation and general usability * Forms, buttons, links and interactions * Error handling and edge cases * Mobile and desktop experiences * Confusing wording or instructions * Visual inconsistencies * Broken or incomplete flows You may also be asked to retest a small number of issues after they have been fixed. ## What I Need I’m looking for someone who can: * Test independently beyond the obvious happy paths * Identify both technical bugs and usability issues * Clearly explain how each issue can be reproduced * Include screenshots or recordings where helpful * Record the device and browser used * Separate critical issues from smaller improvements * Avoid vague, repetitive or overly general feedback Findings will be documented in a simple Notion space and should include an issue title, steps to reproduce, expected result, actual result, severity and supporting visuals where relevant. Experience in QA, product testing, product management, UX or software development is preferred. Experience testing early-stage digital products is important. A genuine interest in fiction, books, creative writing or writing tools would be a strong bonus, as it will help you understand Wrender’s intended users and use cases. This is an initial project of approximately 5 to 10 hours. Strong work, clear communication and actionable findings may lead to future testing work as Wrender continues to develop. When applying, please share: * Your relevant testing experience * Examples of digital products you have tested * How you document and prioritise findings * The devices and browsers you can test on * Your availability and hourly rate * How many hours you recommend for the first testing round
