Experienced User Tester Needed for Digital Product Testing
Worldwide
## Experienced User Tester Needed for Digital Product Testing I’m looking for an experienced user tester to complete 5 to 10 hours of focused testing on a digital product before its private beta launch. The product is still early stage, so the main goal is to find bugs, broken flows, confusing experiences, and anything that could cause problems for beta users. I’m looking for someone who has worked in tech, product testing, quality assurance, or usability testing and knows how to test efficiently without needing every step mapped out for them. ### What You’ll Test Testing will include a mix of: * Core user journeys and features * Account creation, login, and onboarding * Navigation and general usability * Forms, buttons, links, and interactions * Error handling and edge cases * Mobile and desktop experiences * Confusing wording or unclear instructions * Visual inconsistencies * Broken or incomplete flows * Anything that feels frustrating, unexpected, or difficult to use You may also be asked to retest specific issues after they have been fixed, depending on timing. ### What I Need From You I need someone who can: * Explore the product independently and test beyond the obvious happy paths * Identify bugs, usability issues, and areas of confusion * Clearly explain how each issue can be reproduced * Include screenshots or screen recordings where helpful * Note the device, browser, and screen size used * Separate critical bugs from smaller improvements * Avoid filling the report with vague or duplicate feedback * Use the available testing time efficiently The final output should be a clear, organised list of findings that I can work through with the developer. I will provide a simple format or Notion space for documenting issues. Each finding should ideally include: * A short issue title * Steps to reproduce it * What you expected to happen * What actually happened * Severity or priority * Screenshot or recording, where relevant * Device and browser details ### Who This Would Suit You may have experience as a: * Product or user tester * QA tester * Product manager * UX researcher or designer * Developer with strong testing experience Experience testing early-stage digital products is important. I’m not looking for general feedback from a typical user at this stage. I need someone who understands how digital products are built and can systematically uncover issues before beta users come in. This is an initial project of approximately 5 to 10 hours. If you do this well, communicate clearly, and provide useful, actionable findings, it can lead to future testing work as the product continues to develop. When applying, please share: * Your relevant product or testing experience * Examples of digital products you have tested * How you normally document and prioritise findings * The devices and browsers you can test on * Your availability and hourly rate * How many hours you recommend for an effective first testing round
