Experienced Xactimate Estimators Needed — Multiple Damage Types (Ongoing Work)
Worldwide
We're building a self-serve platform for ordering Xactimate-formatted property insurance estimates across multiple damage types: Water Damage, Fire Damage, Smoke Damage, Roof/Storm Damage, Mold Remediation, Asbestos Abatement, General Contents/Structure, and Rebuilds. We're looking for experienced Xactimate estimators to help us validate our intake process and eventually take on ongoing estimate-writing work. This posting is the first step: a short paid consultation/test task, with the possibility of ongoing volume work afterward for strong fits. Questions for your proposal (please answer directly, not just "see my profile"): Do you hold an active Xactimate license? How many years have you been using it? Which damage types/verticals can you handle confidently? (Water, Fire, Smoke, Roof/Storm, Mold, Asbestos, Contents/Structure, Rebuilds) What's your flat per-deliverable pricing per claim type (not just hourly)? Please break out small/medium/large/complex if your pricing varies by job size. What's your typical turnaround time per deliverable? Do you hold any of the following certifications: IICRC, RIA, HAAG, or carrier-specific certifications (State Farm, USAA, Nationwide, etc.)? Do you have experience with specific carriers, and does that affect how you format or scope an estimate? Can you share a sample redacted estimate for each vertical you're proposing to handle? Intake requirements validation — the core ask for this task: For each damage type you're confident handling, please tell us: what information and documentation do you actually need from a client to write an accurate, carrier-ready estimate? Specifically: Water Damage: Do you need both Category (1–3) and Class (1–4) reported separately, or is one sufficient for your workflow? Do you need daily moisture/psychrometric logs, or just a final reading? Is a clearance moisture survey something you typically require before finalizing, or is that a separate step? Fire Damage: What's the minimum documentation you need — photos and a fire department report, or do you typically need more? Smoke Damage: Do you treat this as a separate deliverable from Fire? Does the smoke type (wet/dry/protein) change how you scope the job? Do you need HVAC/duct system status as part of intake? Mold Remediation: How important is documentation linking the mold to a specific covered water event? Is this something you require before you'll write the estimate, or do you work around it? Do you need lab/clearance testing results, or can you write from photos and materials-affected info alone? Asbestos Abatement: Same question — do you require documentation tying the disturbance to a covered peril, or lab confirmation of asbestos presence, before you can write the estimate? Roof/Storm, Contents/Structure, Rebuilds: What do you actually need from us to get started on each of these? We want to build an intake form that collects exactly what you need — no more, no less — so please be specific about what's essential vs. nice-to-have. Next steps We'll review proposals and select 2–3 estimators for a small paid test order to validate real turnaround time, pricing, and quality before committing to ongoing volume.
