Craig Consulting LLC is an independent biotech advisory practice providing fractional leadership, fundraising strategy, business-development support, and hands-on guidance to emerging biotech companies. We are seeking an expert WordPress developer or small agency to build a professional, high-performance marketing website and provide ongoing monthly maintenance. This engagement has two phases: Phase 1: Website Build Build a responsive, accessible, and fully editable WordPress website with approximately 6–7 pages: Home About Engagements/Services The Book Resources/Downloads Contact Notes/Blog The most important component is a categorized resource library with email-gated downloads. Visitors should be able to access downloadable PDF, Excel, and CSV resources after submitting their email address. The resource system should include: Categorized and searchable downloads Download tracking File versioning Email-gated access Integration with Kit/ConvertKit, MailPoet, or a comparable email platform A simple process that allows a non-developer to add or update resources Additional requirements include: Self-hosted WordPress Lightweight, well-supported theme or custom block theme No proprietary theme or page-builder lock-in Contact and consulting inquiry forms Spam protection and reliable email delivery SEO, analytics, caching, security, and automated backups Google Search Console configuration Cross-browser and mobile testing WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility target Handoff documentation and a short training walkthrough A visual design concept, brand system, and homepage mockup already exist. Phase 2: Ongoing Maintenance After launch, the selected developer will provide monthly maintenance, including: WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates Staging-site testing before production updates Security, malware, and uptime monitoring Backup verification and restore testing Performance monitoring and optimization Support hours for publishing resources, pages, and posts Minor design and content updates Defined response times for routine requests and urgent incidents A brief monthly activity and uptime report Proposal Requirements Please include: Two or three relevant WordPress examples, preferably content-heavy or resource-library websites. Your fixed price for the Phase 1 build, with a brief breakdown. Your monthly maintenance price, included support hours, and response times. Your proposed WordPress stack. A specific explanation of how you would build the categorized, gated-download resource library and integrate it with the email platform. Your hosting recommendation and whether you can manage hosting. Your realistic timeline, assumptions, and exclusions. The anticipated build timeline is approximately six weeks, followed by an ongoing maintenance relationship. All accounts, licenses, code, credentials, content, and data must be owned by and transferred to D. Craig Consulting LLC. Phase 1 will be treated as work-for-hire, with intellectual property transferring upon final payment. Please avoid generic agency introductions. Proposals that specifically describe prior experience with gated downloads, email capture, and easy resource management will receive priority consideration.
