FOIA Researcher — Police Bodycam Footage (Long-Term, YouTube Channel)

Long-term role sourcing raw bodycam footage for a YouTube channel through official FOIA / public records requests. What You'll Do File FOIA requests with police/sheriff departments to obtain raw bodycam or dashcam footage for specific cases. Track requests in a shared Google Sheet (case, date, location, agency, status, proof of request). Flag cases with strong potential — see below. What Makes a Good Case Look for a mismatch between the suspect and the crime (elderly suspects, parents, teachers, coaches, or other "trusted" figures doing something serious), clear conflict or escalation, an unexpected twist, and a satisfying resolution. No officer-involved shootings or fatal incidents. Requirements Proven FOIA / public records experience — must provide proof of past requests and successful acquisitions before being hired. Strong written English. Familiarity with state-level (not just federal) public records laws. Comfortable with Google Sheets and Trello. Able to work across multiple states/counties, not just one or two. Pay $20–25 per confirmed footage delivery (raw file or agency download link + proof of request) — paid per footage, not per hour or per request submitted.
