FREELANCE SHOPIFY & KLAVIYO SPECIALIST - "THE ENGINE ROOM" PlayBrave | Premium Racket-Sports Clothing Remote | Freelance | ~8-10 hours/week | UK-based, London preferred | Ongoing engagement WHO WE ARE PlayBrave makes premium racket sports clothing for serious players - Tennis, Padel, Real Tennis, Rackets, Squash and Pickleball. We are a small, London-based brand relaunching around a single idea: the courage to improve. We are built for the Serious Amateur - the player who wakes up early to train, fights for every point, and expects their kit to be as disciplined as they are. The details matter to us, and we expect the same of the people we work with. We are not looking for an agency. We are not looking for someone to manage remotely. We are looking for one sharp, reliable specialist to own the machine that runs underneath the brand - quietly, completely, and without being chased. THE ROLE You are the mechanic. While our content lead is the face and hands of the brand, you keep the engine running - the Shopify store and the Klaviyo email programme, end to end. This is a hands-on, get-it-done role with a clear first mission and a steady rhythm after that. THE FIRST JOB: MIGRATE, DON'T REBUILD This is a migration, not a ground-up build. We already have a live Shopify store, a customer base, an email list of approximately 4,000 addresses, and a working Klaviyo setup. We are moving onto a new theme and tightening everything up for relaunch. Your immediate priorities will be: Migrate the existing Shopify store to a new theme with zero data loss - products, collections, customers, URLs, SEO structure, and order history all intact. Rebuild the storefront on the new theme to feel premium and on-brand, performing flawlessly on mobile. Audit and refresh our existing Klaviyo flows (Welcome, Abandoned Cart, Post-Purchase, Win-Back) - improve what is there, do not start from scratch. Confirm that Klaviyo and Shopify are cleanly integrated and that the list is properly segmented. Set up a clean, simple analytics dashboard so the senior team can see what matters at a glance. The goal is a smooth, tight relaunch - not a rebuild that drags on for months. THE ONGOING ROLE (AFTER LAUNCH) Once we are live, your rhythm will be steady and well-defined: Own day-to-day Shopify: product uploads, collections, variants, inventory management, technical fixes. Own Klaviyo: campaign sends, automated flow performance, list health, segmentation, and A/B tests. Interpret the data and report back in plain English - what is working, what is not, and what we should do about it. Keep the store fast, accurate, and premium at all times. WHAT YOU OWN OUTRIGHT VS. WHAT YOU ADVISE ON You own and decide: the technical Shopify setup, email flow architecture, A/B test design, analytics dashboard structure, integration health. You advise on: email content direction (the copy and creative decisions sit with our team), campaign timing, promotional strategy, and anything that touches the brand's visual identity. You will flag your recommendations clearly and we will make the call together. This line matters to us. We want someone who is genuinely expert in their lane and confident enough to say "this is what I would do, and here is why" - not someone who waits to be told every move. WHO YOU ARE You have at least three years of hands-on Shopify experience, including at least one full theme migration on a live store. You have at least two years of Klaviyo experience, including building and optimising automated flows from scratch. You are AI-native. You use the latest AI tools as a natural part of your workflow - for testing, analysis, automation, and efficiency. This is not a nice-to-have; it is how we all work at PlayBrave. You understand D2C e-commerce metrics and can talk about conversion rate, AOV, list health, and flow revenue in a way that makes sense to a non-technical team. You are organised and self-managing. You hit deadlines without being chased. You raise problems early rather than quietly missing a date. You are UK-based, London preferred, so we can meet in person at least once a month. You work as a solo freelancer, not through an agency or as a front for a team we have not met. Bonus points if you have experience with premium lifestyle or sportswear brands, or if you have handled Shopify migrations involving international pricing or multi-currency setups. WHAT WE OFFER Approximately 8-10 hours per week, rising to 15-20 hours during the launch window. A long-term engagement with a brand that has genuine momentum and is building seriously for the years ahead. Direct access to the Chairman and Head of Business Development. No layers, no committees, no wasted time. A brand you can be proud to have on your portfolio. Competitive freelance rate - please state your day or hourly rate in your application. HOW TO APPLY Please send us a short note - no templates, no cover-letter boilerplate - that covers three things: A brief description of a Shopify migration you have completed on a live store: the size of the catalogue, the theme involved, and any complications you ran into. One Klaviyo flow you are most proud of and why it performed. Your current availability and your day or hourly rate. We read every application. We do not reply to generic submissions. PlayBrave. Courage to play. Courage to improve.
