Posted 4 days ago

Summary

Description We are seeking a U.S.-licensed lawyer for a confidential, fixed-scope review of evidence concerning an online consumer-review and digital-marketing practice involving a software service and a third-party platform. The engagement is to assess potential issues under the FTC Act, the Consumer Reviews and Testimonials Rule, and related endorsement/review guidance; test evidentiary sufficiency; advise on precise and restrained wording; and—if supported by counsel’s professional judgment and separately approved by the client—prepare and formally transmit a concise complaint through the appropriate FTC channel. The record includes screenshots, chronology, integrity hashes, technical corroboration, and official-source citations. Only names needed for conflict clearance will be disclosed before engagement; substantive facts and evidence follow written clearance and engagement. Required background - Active U.S. law licence in good standing. - Material experience with FTC advertising, consumer protection, endorsements, reviews/testimonials, or Bureau of Consumer Protection matters. - Familiarity with 16 C.F.R. Part 465, Section 5 of the FTC Act, software products, and digital platforms. - Able to handle a confidential fixed-scope engagement and act as filing counsel if professionally appropriate. Requested deliverables - Short legal and evidentiary assessment identifying supported theories, limitations, jurisdictional issues, and missing facts. - An FTC-ready complaint or cover submission with an exhibit list and restrained factual characterization. - Submission or formal transmission as counsel only if counsel concludes filing is warranted and the client approves the exact final filing in writing.
