The Role We're looking for a Senior Facebook Ads Creative Strategist to own the full creative production process for our trades business clients. This isn't a "post and hope" role—you'll be a strategic thinker who understands what makes a tradie's ideal customer stop scrolling, click, and book. You'll handle everything from audience research and creative strategy through to copy, design, video editing, and performance iteration. This is a freelance, contractual position. We care about results, not hours—but we do expect consistent output and clear communication. Contract Type: Freelance / Contract Hours: Flexible, results-based Time Zone: Reporting aligned to Brisbane (AEST) Responsibilities Developing data-driven creative strategies for Facebook and Instagram ad campaigns targeting homeowners and property owners across Australia Writing high-converting ad copy and scroll-stopping hooks tailored to trades audiences Producing creative briefs that clearly communicate concept, angle, format, and messaging direction Scripting UGC and video ads that feel native, authentic, and drive action Conducting audience research to identify pain points, motivations, and buying triggers specific to trades services Analysing campaign performance data and iterating creatives based on what the numbers are telling you Collaborating with and reporting to your manager on campaign priorities, creative direction, and results Managing your own workload and deadlines independently without needing to be chased About You 4+ years of hands-on experience in Facebook and Instagram paid advertising, with a focus on creative strategy Proven background in the trades or home services industry — you understand the customer, the season, the urgency, and the sale Demonstrated ability to produce full-funnel creative: strategy, copy, briefs, scripts, design, and video editing Deep understanding of direct response principles and what drives conversions at the creative level Strong analytical mindset — you read the data, form hypotheses, and test them fast Excellent written communication skills with the ability to write in a voice that resonates with everyday Australians Self-directed and accountable — you deliver on time, flag issues early, and don't need hand-holding Portfolio or case studies demonstrating Facebook/Instagram campaigns you've strategised and produced, ideally in trades or home services What to Expect Flexible freelance engagement — work when and where you want, as long as results are delivered A fast-paced, high-performance team that moves quickly and holds each other to a high standard Direct exposure to real trades business clients and the tangible revenue impact your creatives generate Manager support and clear direction, without micromanagement The opportunity to own your craft fully — this is not an execution-only role
