Fact Checker and Editor

We are seeking a detail-oriented fact checker and editor to review and enhance our content. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in our articles and reports. Responsibilities include verifying facts, correcting errors, and improving readability. Experience in content editing and a keen eye for detail are essential. Accuracy is the foundation of everything we publish, and we are looking for a detail-oriented fact-checker to help us maintain that standard. What You Will Be Doing This is primarily a fact-checking role, not a copy editing role. You will work alongside our researcher to make sure nothing goes out the door with a wrong date, a broken link, an unverified claim, or a statement that does not hold up to scrutiny. Content types include listings, event entries, press releases, and editorial posts. You will flag anything that looks off, verify it against primary sources, and communicate clearly with the team about what needs to be corrected or confirmed. What We Are Looking For Strong attention to detail is the core requirement. You should be comfortable working methodically through a document and cross-referencing information against live sources. Experience in journalism, research, publishing, or editorial work is a plus. Industry familiarity is helpful but not required. SEO awareness is a bonus, but not a barrier to entry.
