Family Legacy Films - Looking for Editor
Worldwide
To all video editing masters! We are currently looking for an experienced, passionate and skilled davinci resolve editor and colourist for ongoing work creating family legacy films. We are looking for someone to come on board as our dedicated editor - if you are good there is potential for A LOT of ongoing work. About the role: The role will consist of creating family legacy and business documentary videos - people talking about their family history as well as family business'. Essentially it is cutting up talking head interviews, as well as a short 30 second intro and a very small outro/credits. Intro - The intro will consist of titles of our brand name/logo + the family members name and year born + the date + 30 second intro of overlay shot at 50fps (family pictures, nick nacks around the family home etc). There will be some soft music for the intro fading out as the talking begins. Interview - The interview will consist of a person talking about all aspects of themselves, their family, their history, possible some business aspects if they have a family business, some advice for their children and grandchildren etc. The interviews will be well lit, filmed with 2 x blackmagic 6k full frame cameras (may at some point change to 2 x Sony FX3's) and Leica-R lenses. We are industry professionals and know how to interview so we will make sure the interview questions and answers are concise and well conducted. The interview questions will be broken up and we will change styles of asking the questions throughout the interview to keep things interesting: 1. Normal technique - Interviewer asking question (off camera and sound) - interviewee answering question with relaying the question in the answer before answering. 2. The interviewee reading the question off a palm card and answering (on camera and sound). 3. A family member asking the question off camera (but we can hear the question being asked on audio). Outro - The interview will most likely end on a wide shot of the interviewee getting up and walking out of frame and cutting again to the name of the family member and then our logo. We have different packages available which determine the length and amount of questions asked in the interview (the editing rates per project will be determined for different length of edit). 30 Min Edit = 10 Interviewee Questions + Intro + Outro 60 min Edit = 18 Interviewee Questions + Intro + Outro 90 min Edit = 26 Interviewee Questions + Intro + Outro Workflow: - We will shoot the production over here on our end. - We will data dump, then export proxies in davinci resolve and upload them to a google drive. - You will download the proxies on your end (so you will need good internet). - You will then edit the assets into the desired length of package and colour grade. - You will then send back an XML and DRP and we will re-link to high res and export on our end. Requirements: - Davinci Resolve editor required. - Fluent English speaking required. - Decent internet connection required (to download proxies). - Have a nack and a passion for working with peoples stories, emotions, sensitive information. Rates - Rates to be discussed between both parties. Please let me know if you are interested. Ryan Origin Films
