Fashion Design & Product Development Intern (Virtual or China-based) HSW (HowSheWearsIt) is a luxury knitwear and ready-to-wear brand working on our AW26/27 collection. We're looking for a Fashion Design & Product Development Intern to support technical design, sampling, and product development across our current and upcoming lines. **Employment Type** - Part-time initially (20 hrs/week, Mon–Fri, 4 hrs/day) - 3-month probation - Potential transition to full-time based on performance - **$800/month** (travel expenses paid separately) **Responsibilities** *Technical Design (40%)* - Convert sketches into professional CADs - Prepare and update tech packs - Revise construction details after fittings - Create measurement specs - Organize production files *Product Development (20%)* - Communicate with factories — contact and follow up on all stages - Review sample photos - Track revisions - Compare prototypes - Maintain development calendar *Research (15%)* - Seasonal trend research - Fabric and trim sourcing - Competitor analysis - Luxury market references *Creative Support (15%)* - Mood boards - Color palettes - Collection presentations - Material proposals *Sampling (10%)* - Sewing knowledge - Pattern understanding - Fit comments - Construction suggestions **Skills Required** Must Have: - Adobe Illustrator - Photoshop - CAD Sketching - Tech Packs - Patternmaking basics - Garment construction - Strong written and spoken English Preferred: - CLO3D - Browzwear - Excel - Notion - Experience with luxury RTW - Comfort using AI tools for social media content creation - Comfort using AI tools (e.g. Claude) for product content and presentation **Location:** Virtual (remote) or based in China **To Apply:** Send your CV and portfolio
