Fashion Designer for Startup

We're building a premium fashion & lifestyle brand that reimagines traditional Indian crafts and embroidery techniques for a modern global audience. We're looking for creative freelance designers who love concept building, moodboarding, and turning heritage-inspired ideas into fresh, contemporary products. *What you'll do:* •⁠ ⁠Create moodboards and visual concepts •⁠ ⁠Research collection ideas and design directions •⁠ ⁠Explore modern applications of Indian crafts, embroidery, and embellishment techniques •⁠ ⁠Curate references for silhouettes, colours, materials, and styling •⁠ ⁠Support with sample development and costing when needed *You might be a fit if you are:* •⁠ ⁠A fashion, textile, accessory, or surface designer •⁠ ⁠Strong at moodboarding and visual storytelling •⁠ ⁠Interested in Indian crafts and heritage techniques •⁠ ⁠Excited by the challenge of balancing tradition with a premium, contemporary aesthetic 📍 Bonus if you're based in Kolkata. If you have experience modernising traditional crafts, we'd especially love to see your work. You can also share a quick concept or moodboard if you'd like to stand out. Shortlisted candidates will be given a *paid project* involving concept development, research, and moodboard creation, with the possibility of ongoing freelance work (and potentially a full-time role as we grow).
