FREELANCE FASHION DESIGNER – WOMEN'S CONTEMPORARY WEAR About BY SAYRAA BY SAYRAA is a premium women's fashion brand focused on contemporary co-ord sets, workwear, festive fusion wear, and elevated everyday dressing. Our collections are designed for modern women who seamlessly transition between work, weekends, travel, and celebrations. We are currently seeking a Freelance Fashion Designer to collaborate on collection development and product creation. Role Type: Freelance Location: Remote or Kolkata-based preferred Role Overview We are looking for a creative and commercially driven Fashion Designer with experience in women's contemporary fashion. The ideal candidate should be able to conceptualize collections, create technical design documentation, and coordinate with manufacturers to bring designs to life. Key Responsibilities: Collection Development • Develop seasonal collections aligned with the BY SAYRA brand vision. • Create mood boards, trend research, and color stories. • Research domestic and international fashion trends. • Design collections across: • Everyday Co-Ords • Workwear Co-Ords • Weekend Wear • Resort Wear • Festive Fusion Wear Design Development: • Create original fashion sketches and concepts. • Develop garment silhouettes and design details. • Recommend fabrics, trims, and embellishments. • Ensure designs are commercially viable and production-friendly. Technical Development: • Create detailed tech packs. • Prepare measurement specifications. • Develop garment construction guidelines. • Assist in sample development and revisions. Vendor Coordination: • Coordinate with pattern masters and sampling units. • Support communication with production vendors. • Review samples and suggest improvements. Photoshoot & Styling Support (Preferred) • Assist with lookbook planning. • Recommend styling directions. • Participate in campaign mood board development. Required Skills: • Women's Western Wear Design • Co-Ord Set Design • Contemporary Fashion • Fashion Illustration • Adobe Illustrator • Adobe Photoshop • Canva • Tech Pack Development • Fabric and Garment Construction Knowledge Preferred Experience • 3+ years in women's fashion design. • Experience working with D2C fashion brands. • Experience developing collections for online retail brands. • Knowledge of Indian festive wear and contemporary fusion fashion.
