US Federal Criminal Defense Attorney — Consultation re: DOJ Inquiry

I have a client, a cryptocurrency exchange, that has received a formal request from the US Department of Justice. We are seeking a US-licensed criminal defense attorney for a paid initial consultation to assess the matter and advise on next steps. Scope of the consultation (fixed price): Review the DOJ request and relevant background materials (shared under NDA after a conflicts check) Assess the nature and seriousness of the inquiry and our potential exposure Advise on immediate steps: response strategy, deadlines, document preservation obligations Recommend a path forward, including whether ongoing representation is needed We would need your written assessment and recommendations. If the consultation goes well, we expect to discuss ongoing representation for the matter as a separate engagement.
