I am looking for an experienced tattoo designer or digital illustrator to create a custom full-colour forearm tattoo composition inspired by the dark, aggressive artwork associated with Five Finger Death Punch. The design will begin across the top of my forearm and then flow down the outer side of my forearm toward the wrist. I do not want the album covers copied exactly. I want selected elements reworked into one original, connected composition that is suitable for tattooing and follows the shape of my arm. Main Upper-Forearm Section The main focal point should be Knucklehead’s head, inspired by the And Justice for None artwork. I only want the head and selected surrounding elements, not the full body. Knucklehead’s head should: sit mainly across the top of my forearm be the largest and most dominant part of the design look aggressive, detailed and realistic use full colour keep the dark heavy-metal look include strong bone, red, black, grey and burnt-orange tones have enough contrast to remain clear on skin The face should be instantly recognisable as the main subject of the tattoo. Pistol Hand One of Knucklehead’s hands should appear beside or slightly in front of his head, holding a pistol. The pistol should look as though it has just been fired. This section should include: one bullet visibly travelling forward from the barrel a muzzle flash two spent shell casings ejecting backward smoke coming from the pistol realistic metallic details strong perspective and movement clear separation between the gun, hand, smoke and face The fired bullet and shells should be noticeable, but they should not overpower Knucklehead’s head. Ammunition Belt An ammunition belt should be included around the upper section of the composition. I want the ammo belt to wrap naturally around Knucklehead’s knuckles, hand or lower face area, helping to connect the pistol side to the rest of the tattoo. It should: curve with the shape of the forearm feel wrapped into the composition look dimensional rather than flat help guide the eye toward the outer forearm remain detailed but not overcrowded act as a visual link between the upper section and the machete section The ammunition belt should feel like part of the artwork, not like a separate object added afterward. Machete Hand and Outer-Forearm Flow Knucklehead’s other hand should grip a large machete inspired by the weapon shown in the Got Your Six artwork. This hand should begin near the upper outer-forearm area, but the machete must continue down the outside of the forearm toward the wrist. This is one of the most important parts of the design. The machete should: create the main line that carries the tattoo down the outer forearm be positioned vertically or on a controlled diagonal appear heavy, damaged and dangerous include realistic steel and gunmetal reflections have scratches, wear and blood along the blade clearly connect the top section to the zombie section below remain readable from a distance The machete should not stay crowded beside Knucklehead’s head. It must visibly travel down the length of the outer forearm. Zombie Section The zombie should be positioned lower down on the outer forearm, underneath the upper Knucklehead section. I mainly want the zombie’s head and upper neck rather than a full body. The zombie should have: a decayed and damaged face crooked, uneven and broken-looking teeth torn skin damaged or lifeless eyes pale grey, dirty green and decomposing flesh tones a realistic horror style an aggressive, shocked or dying facial expression enough detail to look disturbing without becoming unclear on skin The machete should be shown going through the zombie’s throat or neck area. The blade should clearly connect to the hand above and continue down into the zombie section. Blood and Gore Blood should be used as part of the flow of the design. It should appear: around the zombie’s throat wound along the machete blade dripping down from the zombie’s neck following the downward direction of the outer forearm as a strong red colour accent The blood should look realistic and dramatic, but it should not cover the zombie’s teeth, face or important details. The gore should be intense enough to match the horror theme while still allowing the tattoo to remain readable. Full Placement and Visual Flow The intended flow of the tattoo is: Knucklehead’s head on the top of the forearm → pistol hand with fired bullet, shells and smoke → ammunition belt wrapping around the upper section → other hand gripping the machete → machete travelling down the outer forearm → zombie head and neck lower down → machete through the throat with blood dripping toward the wrist. The tattoo should feel like one connected scene. It should not look like separate images placed beside one another. The artist should design it so that: Knucklehead remains the main focal point the pistol section adds action and movement the ammo belt connects the upper details the machete guides the tattoo down the arm the zombie completes the lower outer-forearm section the design follows the natural shape of the forearm important details do not disappear around the sides of the arm there is enough negative space to prevent the colours and shadows becoming muddy Colour Direction The tattoo must be fully coloured. I do not want a mostly black-and-grey tattoo with only small colour highlights. The preferred colours are: deep blood red crimson burnt orange black charcoal grey natural bone and skull tones metallic silver gunmetal dirty green pale grey flesh dark brown controlled yellow and orange around the gunshot The overall design should remain dark, gritty and realistic. I do not want it to look bright, playful or cartoon-like. The colour should be strong enough to stand out while still matching a heavy-metal and horror style. Style The style should be: full-colour realism dark realism horror realism cinematic aggressive detailed heavy-metal inspired suitable for tattooing Please avoid: cartoon styling traditional tattoo styling comic-book styling overly clean or polished fantasy artwork unnecessary text album names band logos decorative filler that does not support the main composition Tattoo Design Requirements The design must be created specifically for a real forearm, not only as a flat poster illustration. The artist should consider: the shape and taper of the forearm how the design turns from the top onto the outer side the location of the elbow and wrist how the machete travels down the arm which details need to remain larger for long-term readability how full-colour shading will age on skin how the tattoo artist can stencil and apply the design enough clear edges and contrast between each major element I am happy for the designer to adjust the exact positioning, angle and scale of the elements so the tattoo fits the arm properly, but the overall concept and flow must remain the same. Deliverables I would like the final project to include: the finished full-colour tattoo design a clean version on a plain background a version shown on a forearm mock-up a linework or stencil-reference version a clear colour-reference version a high-resolution PNG a print-quality PDF or TIFF the editable source file, such as PSD or Procreate organised layers where reasonably possible The final tattoo artist must be allowed to make small technical adjustments for placement and tattooing. Reference Images I will provide reference images from: And Justice for None Got Your Six Knucklehead artwork the pistol and ammunition details the machete the zombie style photographs of my forearm placement The reference images are for character, colour, weapon and mood direction. The final design should be a custom original composition, not an exact copy of either album cover. What I Need From the Freelancer Please include: examples of full-colour tattoo designs examples of dark realism or horror work examples of skulls, zombies, weapons or action compositions confirmation that you understand tattoo placement and forearm flow confirmation that you can create both the finished artwork and stencil reference the number of revisions.
