Figma Web Designer

Figma Web Designer Bushwick Digital, a web design and development agency, specializes in creating impactful solutions for advocacy, government, and nonprofit organizations. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a talented and innovative Figma Web Designer to join our growing remote team. Role Overview: In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the visual and creative direction of our web and branding projects. We are looking for a talented designer with a deep understanding of how to present information well on the web, a passion for creativity, and the ability to complete complex projects on time. Key Responsibilities: Translate client goals and website copy into compelling website designs Collaborate with our accounts and copywriting teams to define design requirements Prepare design files for handoff to our development team for coding Proactively identify and resolve questions or issues that impact project timeline Required Skills and Qualifications: Strong understanding of design systems and component-based design principles. Experience building and maintaining consistent, scalable components in Figma (utilizing auto-layout, variants, and component properties). Meticulous attention to detail regarding typography and layout settings, specifically line height, letter spacing, and precise spacing systems. Excellent proficiency in English and availability during US ET business hours. A portfolio of website design, ideally including websites that are currently live. Proficient in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. In-depth understanding of UX/UI best practices. Ability to translate non-technical client requirements and goals into logical designs. General familiarity with WordPress is advantageous, but no coding skills are required. Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Proactive and team-oriented. Comfortable working in a remote setting and maintaining availability during business hours on Slack. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a problem-solving aptitude.
