Experienced Final Cut Pro Editor Needed for Cinematic Travel YouTube Channel We are Rhett and Claire, a travel filmmaking couple and the creators behind the YouTube channel Rhett and Claire. Final Cut Pro Experience Is Essential We work exclusively in Final Cut Pro and Apple Motion, so strong proficiency in both—particularly Final Cut Pro—is paramount. Please do not apply if your primary editing software is Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or another editing platform. We need someone who already understands Final Cut Pro’s workflow and can work efficiently within our existing libraries. You must be comfortable with: * Final Cut Pro libraries, events, projects and roles * Proxy media workflows * Relinking and managing media * Multicam and synchronised clips where necessary * Compound clips and adjustment layers * Titles, effects and templates created in Apple Motion * Sound design, audio mixing and colour correction * Efficiently transferring and working with large projects remotely The Editing Workflow We will prepare the Final Cut Pro library structure, organise the footage, place the clips onto the timeline and provide voiceovers where required. From there, it will be your responsibility to transform the material into a polished, engaging and emotionally compelling travel film. Your role will include: * Reviewing and selecting the strongest footage * Piecing together the story and shaping the overall narrative * Creating an engaging vlog with strong pacing and structure * Finding appropriate licensed music * Cutting sequences to music * Adding cinematic sound design and ambient audio * Incorporating voiceovers naturally into the edit * Using B-roll effectively to support the story * Adding titles, graphics and map animations where required * Performing basic colour correction and ensuring visual consistency * Delivering a finished video that meets the standard of our existing channel We are not looking for someone who simply places clips one after another. You must understand storytelling, emotion, pacing, music selection and how to keep viewers engaged throughout a long-form YouTube video. The Style We Are Looking For Our videos are cinematic, immersive and story-driven while still feeling personal and authentic. The ideal editor will understand how to balance: * Cinematic travel filmmaking * Natural vlog moments * Emotional storytelling * Informative voiceovers * Energetic sequences * Slower, atmospheric moments * Music and sound design * Audience retention without making the edit feel overly fast or artificial You should be able to study our previous videos and produce work at a similar level of quality.
