The shop will use these blueprints to laser cut, bend, and weld two industrial storage structures. The two items requiring drawings are: * Item 1: Industrial Hopper: Conical or tapered chute handling bulk materials. * Item 2: Square Silo: Vertical storage bin with structural wall reinforcing. ------------------------------ ## 📑 Key Responsibilities * Convert Models: Transform basic 3D/2D conceptual designs into shop-ready documentation. * Generate Flat Patterns: Calculate sheet metal flat profiles including precise bend allowances, K-factors, and bend lines. * Add Welding Details: Apply standardized welding symbols specifying weld types, sizes, and joint prep configurations. * Incorporate Tolerances: Apply realistic geometric tolerances ensuring parts fit perfectly on the shop floor without manual reworking. * Create Bill of Materials: Generate an integrated BOM for each item detailing plates, structural stiffeners, and hardware. ------------------------------ ## 📑 Required Deliverables You must deliver clean, well-organized engineering files divided into the following formats: * PDF Drawings: Multi-view 2D blueprints (front, top, side, isometric) with clear dimensions and text notes. * DXF/DWG Files: Clean, 1:1 scale flat-pattern profiles optimized for immediate CNC laser or plasma cutting. * 3D CAD Formats: Final updated STEP or native CAD files (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) matching the production drawings. ------------------------------ ## 📑 Candidate Requirements * Expert Software Skills: High proficiency in sheet metal and structural drafting using SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or AutoCAD. * Fabrication Knowledge: Deep understanding of steel fabrication processes, specifically sheet metal bending, plate work, and heavy welding. * Standardization: Strict adherence to geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and standard welding symbols (AWS or ISO). * Attention to Detail: Ability to catch alignment errors or missing clearances before files reach the workshop floor.
