The ideal candidate will have experience in finance and systems management, and be able to work independently to deliver results. # Finance Systems & Operations Associate (AI-First) ## Overview We're building a portfolio of modern businesses and are looking for an organised, systems-oriented person to help build our internal finance operating system. This is **not** a traditional bookkeeping position. This is **not** a repetitive data-entry role. Instead, you'll help design, document, improve and standardise how finance operates across multiple businesses. We believe great people can grow into exceptional operators when given the right systems and modern AI tools. Rather than reinventing finance processes for every company, we're creating one scalable finance operating system that can be replicated across all of our businesses. The first project is to build this operating system for one business. Once complete, it will become the blueprint for every future business we launch. --- # Our Working Style We are an AI-first organisation. AI should help you work faster and smarter—not replace your judgement. You will be expected to: * Research independently. * Verify information. * Think critically. * Improve AI-generated work. * Build clear, practical documentation. * Continuously improve systems. Curiosity and problem-solving are more important than knowing everything already. --- # Objectives Help us build a scalable finance operating system that is: * Standardised * Well documented * Easy to follow * Automated where practical * Continuously improving * Ready to be replicated across future businesses --- # Responsibilities You'll work with us to design, improve and document finance operations, including: ## Finance Systems * Research best practices. * Recommend improvements. * Configure and organise finance software. * Help implement scalable workflows. * Assist with automation. --- ## Process Documentation Create documentation including: * Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) * Checklists * Work instructions * Process maps * Internal guides * Templates Every recurring finance process should eventually be documented. --- ## Finance Handbook Help build a comprehensive internal handbook covering: * Roles and responsibilities * Finance policies * Expense policies * Purchasing procedures * Payment approvals * Month-end processes * Reporting standards * Internal controls --- ## Workflow Design Help develop workflows for: * Accounts Payable * Accounts Receivable * Purchasing * Expenses * Payroll preparation * Budgeting * Forecasting * Bank reconciliations * Month-end close * Reporting The emphasis is on building systems rather than performing repetitive bookkeeping. --- ## Templates Develop reusable templates including: * Budgets * Forecasts * Approval forms * Expense forms * Reporting templates * Checklists * Monthly review templates --- ## Automation Identify repetitive work that can be automated. Research modern tools. Recommend improvements. Implement automations where appropriate. --- # What We're Looking For We're more interested in how you think than how many years you've worked. As we launch additional companies, you'll have the opportunity to help implement and improve the finance operating system across multiple businesses.
