Summary

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance & Operations Assistant to join our growing UK-based businesses long term. You will primarily support: A professional HMO lettings & property management company A cleaning & compliance support company This role is ideal for somebody who enjoys bringing order to messy systems, spotting inconsistencies, and helping businesses become more organised and financially structured. This is not just basic bookkeeping/data entry. We are looking for someone proactive who can help us improve systems and maintain accurate financial records across multiple businesses. Responsibilities Xero bookkeeping and reconciliation Processing invoices and receipts Managing Dext submissions and document organisation Tracking recurring subscriptions and business expenses Assisting with intercompany recharges Monitoring unpaid invoices and supplier payments Helping organise financial workflows and systems Supporting month-end reconciliation processes Maintaining clear and accurate records General finance/admin support Software We Use Xero Dext Google Workspace Canva Slack Zapier COHO Excel / Google Sheets Requirements Excellent attention to detail Strong written English Experience with Xero Experience with Dext preferred Comfortable handling multiple businesses/entities Highly organised and process-driven Able to work independently and suggest improvements Reliable internet and quiet workspace Preferred Experience supporting UK businesses Experience with property or service businesses Understanding of VAT and UK bookkeeping workflows Experience handling recurring subscriptions and shared business costs Hours Initially part-time with potential to grow long term.
