Finance & Reporting Consultant (Martus, Intacct, Fonteva) – Part Time

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Finance & Reporting Consultant to help us make sense of organizational budgets and translate financial data into clear, useful, executive level dashboards and reports. This role is not transactional bookkeeping. We are looking for someone who can: 1. Interpret budgets and financial data, 2. Identify trends, variances, and insights, 3. Build custom reports and dashboards that leadership can actually use. You must be an expert user of Martus, Sage Intacct, and Fonteva, and comfortable working across systems to reconcile and visualize data. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities 1. Review and interpret budgets, forecasts, and actuals across Martus, Intacct, and Fonteva 2. Help leadership understand what the numbers are saying, including variances and trends 3. Design and build custom financial reports and dashboards (executive friendly and operational) 4. Align data across systems (Martus ↔ Intacct ↔ Fonteva) and flag inconsistencies 5. Create repeatable reporting views for budgets, forecasting, revenue, expenses, and program performance 6. Partner with internal stakeholders to clarify reporting needs and refine outputs over time 7. Improve clarity, structure, and usability of existing financial reports ________________________________________ Required Expertise (Must Have) 1. Deep, hands on expertise in all three systems: 1. Martus (budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis) 2. Sage Intacct (financial reporting, transactions, budgeting, variance review) 3. Fonteva (revenue, membership, events, or association based financial data) 2. Strong understanding of nonprofit or association finance preferred 3. Proven experience building custom dashboards and management reports 4. Ability to explain financial information clearly to non financial leaders 5. Comfortable working independently and proactively recommending improvements
