Independent CPA — First-Time Financial Statement Audit (FY2025) | Dash.fi Dash.fi, an Austin-based fintech (~81 employees) offering a corporate card and spend-management platform, is seeking an independent, licensed CPA on a contract basis to perform our first financial statement audit for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2025, and issue an independent auditor's report under U.S. GAAP. This is a defined-scope engagement targeted for completion within four weeks of start. You'll lead planning and risk assessment, process walkthroughs, substantive testing (revenue/ASC 606, cash and customer funds, receivables/payables, accruals, equity), first-time opening-balance validation, and confirmations — then deliver the signed auditor's report and a management letter. Bookkeeping, tax, and SOC 2 work are out of scope. Required: active U.S. CPA license in good standing with authority to issue audit reports (sole practitioner/registered firm); proven experience leading GAAP/GAAS financial statement audits; independence from Dash.fi under AICPA and state-board rules; hands-on ASC 606 experience; immediate availability; and E&O insurance. Preferred: first-time/pre-IPO and fintech, payments, or SaaS audit experience. Engagement: independent contractor, remote, ~4 weeks.
