Financial Controller (Remote) We're looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Financial Controller to build and oversee the financial operations across our growing portfolio of companies. This is more than a bookkeeping role. You'll design scalable financial systems, improve operational efficiency, strengthen financial controls, and provide leadership with accurate, timely insights that support better business decisions. Key Responsibilities - Oversee bookkeeping, accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and coordinate with external tax professionals where applicable. - Maintain accurate visibility into cash flow, revenue, expenses, profitability, budgets, and overall financial performance. - Monitor company spending and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency and maximize return on investment. - Manage invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payment processing, and payroll support. - Maintain strong internal financial controls and ensure records are accurate, organized, and audit-ready. - Manage software licenses, user access, permissions, and financial systems using secure access management practices. - Review vendors, subscriptions, and operating expenses regularly to identify cost-saving opportunities. - Develop and improve financial processes using AI and automation where appropriate, while ensuring underlying workflows are reliable. - Identify financial, operational, and compliance risks and recommend practical solutions. - Prepare financial reports, forecasts, dashboards, and actionable recommendations that help leadership make informed decisions. Preferred Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in financial management, accounting, or financial controlling. - Experience supporting multiple business entities is highly preferred. - Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. - Experience with accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or similar. - Comfortable using spreadsheets and financial analysis tools. - Experience with AI, automation platforms, or workflow optimization is a strong advantage. - Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. - Able to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a remote environment.
