Finance Operations Assistant (Remote, 10+ hours/week) About the Role: We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Financial Operations Assistant to help us manage financial tasks and administrative duties. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on analysing financial data, sales numbers, scrutinising expenses, and creating reports - all with the goal of saving time, reducing costs, and increasing revenue. If you’re highly organised, analytical, and love working with numbers, spreadsheets, and systems, this could be a great fit for you. What You’ll Be Doing: You’ll be responsible for a variety of financial and administrative tasks, including the following: • Record and track sales data (PivotTables, currency conversion) • Update P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow Forecast spreadsheets (Google sheets) • Create financial reports for business meetings (Google Sheets) • Complete Budget vs. Actuals analysis, identifying discrepancies and suggesting actions (Google Sheets) • Scrutinise expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimising spending • Daily/weekly Reconciliation with Accounting Software (QuickFile) Future Potential: This role is specifically for our Publishing business. There is potential for increased hours and responsibilities in additional businesses if the candidate consistently outperforms. What We’re Looking For: ✅ Financially competent – Strong understanding of numbers, budgeting, and expenses ✅ Spreadsheet enthusiast – Comfortable with Excel & Google Sheets for data tracking and reporting ✅ Detail-oriented – Meticulous when reviewing financials, expenses, and reports ✅ Proactive & resourceful – Not just following tasks, but actively finding ways to improve efficiency, cut costs, and increase revenue ✅ Strong communicator – Clear, concise, and professional in emails and messages ✅ Organised & methodical – Able to manage multiple tasks and track deadlines ✅ Comfortable working with large datasets and sales reports ✅ Able to identify trends, anomalies and opportunities from financial data ✅ Enjoys investigating discrepancies and finding the reason behind the numbers Role Details: • Hours: 10+ hours per week (flexible, no specific working hours required) • Location: Fully remote • Training Provided: Yes, but prior experience in similar tasks is required • Salary: $6-10 ph, based on experience How to Apply: If this sounds like a great fit for you, apply by sending: 1️⃣ Your CV highlighting relevant experience 2️⃣ A short cover letter explaining why you’re the right person for the role 3️⃣ Any examples of financial reports or spreadsheets you’ve worked on (if available)
