About us We are Australia's largest commercial decorative lighting supplier. We are a lean, fast-moving e-commerce brand expanding into new product categories and markets, run by a small team amplified heavily by AI. The role Work directly alongside the founder to turn operational problems, product research, and new opportunities into working tools and systems. You're the build-and-ship engine: the founder sets direction, you make it real. This starts as a deliberately broad role across several areas and will crystallise into a defined function over time, as we learn where you create the most leverage. What you'll build and own Internal tools and automations across our stack — front-end and back-end, API integrations, dashboards, data pipelines (Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta, Notion, and more) AI agents and workflows that strip out repetitive work and extend what one person can do Product and market research that feeds directly into what gets built next Day-to-day operational efficiency — find the friction, build the fix Tech and tooling research — scout new tools and AI capabilities, then translate them into things we actually use New-opportunity prototypes — fast builds to test an idea before we commit real resources Reusable, documented systems — SOPs, skills, and playbooks so nothing lives only in your head Must-haves You can genuinely build. Comfortable across front-end and back-end, APIs, and scripting/automation (e.g. JavaScript/Python). You turn a rough idea into a working tool. AI-native in practice, not just in chat. You work daily in agentic coding tools — Claude Code and/or Codex — not just the Claude.ai chat window. You understand the persistent-instruction files that make agents reliable across sessions: CLAUDE.md and the wider .claude/ setup (skills, subagents, settings, MCP wiring), plus AGENTS.md for Codex and cross-tool projects. You use these deliberately to get consistent output, not one-off answers. Commercially curious. You care why a tool matters to the business, not just that it runs. A self-directed owner. You're comfortable with ambiguity and happy rotating across different problems. Excellent written English and reliable overlap with AU/SEA business hours. How we work Lean and AI-augmented — AI does the heavy lifting, humans own judgment and outcomes. Documentation-first. You'll work closely with the founder on a wide mandate that will specialise as we go. We hire for building ability and ownership, then let AI multiply both.
